Overview

Remaker AI combines prompt-based photo editing, image utilities and AI video tools, making it a fit for creators who want several visual workflows in one service. Its free sign-up credits and non-expiring one-time credit purchases are appealing; the lack of an official app and ban on commercial use make it a poor fit for mobile-first or business production.

Key features

Image editing and tools

The AI Photo Editor lets users select part of a photo to change or describe an edit with a prompt. Upscaling, background removal, object erasing and photo effects address common cleanup tasks, while portrait and tattoo generation broaden the creative options. That range is useful for individual projects, though the credit model means frequent use depends on purchasing more credits.

Video and face swapping

Remaker pairs AI video generation with templates for short-form clips. Video face swaps support multiple faces and videos up to 30 minutes, a substantial ceiling for longer source material. New users can use free credits to generate and export images and videos without a watermark. Commercial use is not allowed, however, so watermark-free exports should not be mistaken for permission to use the results in commercial work.

API and security

The API documentation includes endpoints for face swaps, upscaling, video generation, background removal and other tools, giving teams a route to incorporate these capabilities into software. Remaker describes its audience as individual creators and enterprise teams, but the commercial-use restriction limits its suitability for revenue-generating production. Stripe processes payments, and Remaker says it does not store card information. Its privacy policy describes firewalled servers in secure facilities while acknowledging that no security system is perfect.

Pricing

Remaker is freemium. Free access costs 0.00 USD per free; new users receive credits, and many basic features are free.

Paid access uses one-time credit purchases rather than recurring subscriptions. The 200-credit package costs 5.99 USD per once, while 20,000 credits costs 299.00 USD per once. Packages span 200–20,000 credits, and purchased credits do not expire. The smaller package suits occasional use with less upfront commitment; the larger one is for heavier use but requires a much higher initial spend. Credit quantities do not establish how many edits or videos a purchase will cover.

Refund eligibility is narrow: it requires a first purchase, use of no more than 50 credits, and a request within three days. Email support handles general inquiries and refund requests, with responses potentially taking up to 48 hours.

Platforms

Remaker is usable through its web platform and says it currently has no official app. Although Android, iOS, macOS and Windows appear among its platform categories, readers seeking a dedicated mobile or desktop app should not assume one is available. An API is also documented for integration work.

Who it's for

Remaker suits individual creators who want image editing, image utilities and video generation together, especially those who can start with free credits or prefer one-time purchases to a recurring bill. It is less suitable for commercial projects because commercial use is prohibited, and for users who require an official app or predictable monthly credit allowances.

Pros and cons

Pro: One service spans prompt-based photo edits, practical image tools, video generation and face swaps, reducing the need to switch among separate creative tools.
Pro: Purchased credits do not expire and payments are one-time, so buyers avoid subscription renewal and a ticking credit balance.
Pro: New-user credits support watermark-free image and video exports, useful for evaluating the workflow.
Con: Commercial use is not allowed, ruling it out for business deliverables and other revenue-generating work.
Con: There is no official app, limiting its appeal to people who expect a native mobile or desktop experience.
Con: The free credit amount and the credit cost of individual tasks are not given, making it hard to estimate ongoing spend.

Verdict

Choose Remaker AI if you want a broad set of image and video tools, can work through the web, and value credits that remain valid indefinitely. Its strongest reason to choose is the combination of creative tools and flexible one-time purchases; the decisive reason to look elsewhere is the prohibition on commercial use.
