Overview

Feeder gathers user-selected sources such as blogs, news, weather, government databases, job boards, Mastodon, and newsletters into one reading experience. It is more useful for ongoing monitoring than for someone who only wants a simple list of RSS feeds: keyword and topic filters can narrow incoming posts, while keyword exclusions can reduce unwanted material.

Folders, favorites, collections, and sharing help readers manage what they find. AI summaries and text-to-speech provide alternate ways to consume posts, while AI-generated feeds can cover pages without RSS. An AI setup assistant rounds out the feature set. The daily summary allowance varies by plan, so frequent use of summaries may affect which tier makes sense.

Key features

Monitoring and organization

Feeder's range of source types makes it suitable for readers following both general news and specialized subjects. Filtering and organization are meaningful advantages when a large feed set would otherwise become noisy. The trade-off is update speed: Free allows up to 200 feeds, but its default check interval is two hours, with checks as often as every 30 minutes. Readers who need tighter monitoring will need a paid plan.

AI and integrations

AI summaries can shorten the reading queue, and text-to-speech offers another way to consume posts. AI-generated feeds address pages without RSS, which broadens what readers can track. Feeder connects with MCP, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, Zapier, and webhooks, but integration access depends on the plan. App builders should note that there are no self-serve API keys: REST API access is by request, and API access is part of Enterprise.

Pricing

Feeder has a free tier and two fixed-price monthly plans, with no free trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes up to 200 feeds, 30-minute updates, 50 posts of history per feed, and two AI summaries per day. Its feed cap is generous for a no-cost starting point, but slower default checks and limited history make it less suited to time-sensitive or deep archival monitoring.

Plus costs 9.99 USD per month, billed Monthly. It raises capacity to 2,500 feeds, checks every five minutes, and adds premium sources, a dashboard, rules and filters, and 10 AI summaries per day. This is the practical step up for readers who need faster refreshes and stronger filtering without the larger capacity or collaboration features.

Professional costs 19.99 USD per month, billed Monthly. It includes 10,000 feeds, one-minute updates, collaboration, software integrations, the ability to create RSS feeds, and 60 AI summaries per day. It is the better fit for teams or heavy monitors who need shared work and frequent checks; solo readers unlikely to use those capabilities may not need the higher tier.

Enterprise has custom pricing. It offers customized limits, SSO/SAML, custom permissions, invoice billing, webinars, and premium support, making it the tier for organizations with administrative or support requirements beyond Professional. Feeder's pricing page directs questions to support@feeder.co.

Platforms

Feeder is available on Android, iOS, the web, and as an extension. That range supports readers who want access across mobile and browser-based use.

Who it's for

Feeder is a strong fit for people who follow diverse sources and need to filter and organize the results, including the cybersecurity, marketing, software engineering, and financial services use cases it presents. It is less compelling for someone who needs only occasional reading, or for an app builder who expects immediate self-service API credentials.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad source coverage includes specialist sources as well as common reading material, reducing the need to monitor them separately.
Pros: Keyword and topic filters, exclusions, folders, favorites, and collections provide several ways to control a high-volume feed set.
Pros: AI summaries, text-to-speech, and generated feeds extend the experience beyond standard RSS reading.
Cons: Free checks default to every two hours, which may be too slow for timely monitoring.
Cons: Free history is limited to 50 posts per feed, and summaries are capped at two per day.
Cons: Integration availability varies by plan, and REST API access requires a request or Enterprise.

Alternatives

For a broader selection of feed readers, compare RSS Reader Software; readers focused on turning material into newsletters can browse AI Newsletter Generators.

Choose AWeber instead if the goal is email delivery: its free plan includes up to 500 subscribers and 3,000 monthly emails, rather than Feeder's source-monitoring focus. PestoAI is a paid option available on web, iOS, and Android. Audienceful is another freemium option, with a free plan for 1,000 contacts, one team collaborator, and one automated journey. DailyDraft is a freemium newsletter product from the team behind ClickFunnels. DigestFlow AI offers a free tier with up to three RSS feeds and three newsletters per month. E-Nuntii has a free plan with four newsletter slots and two topics. EmailBuilder.ai offers a free Playground plan with 10 emails, three templates, and five sends or exports. Hanbai has a free plan for up to 500 subscribers and 1,000 emails per month.

Verdict

Feeder is a good choice for readers who need one place to follow varied sources, filter noise, and organize what matters. Its combination of source breadth and AI-assisted reading is the main reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need a free, fast-refreshing feed: Free defaults to two-hour checks, while one-minute updates and collaboration require Professional.
