Overview

Planner 5D is a 2D and 3D planning app for home, landscape, and office designs. It suits homeowners and design-minded users who want to map out rooms and furnishings, while its higher tiers and integrations also address professional and business use. Its strongest case is the combination of floor-plan work and visualization across several platforms; check export needs, subscription terms, and Android sync before committing.

Key features

Planning and visualization

Draw floor plans, furnish and decorate rooms, and move between 2D and 3D views. That gives renovators and homeowners a way to consider a space as a whole, rather than just a floor plan. The app also describes AI tools for generating ideas, exploring layouts, and trying styles.

Plan files and exports

Upload JPG, PNG, PDF, DWG, or DXF floor plans for recognition, which can help users start from an existing plan rather than draw from scratch. DWG and DXF export of 2D plans is reserved for PRO users, so anyone whose workflow depends on CAD files should account for that restriction.

Business use

Enterprise integration options include Open API, SSO, CRM, e-commerce, shopping carts, ERP, and DataStore connectivity. The B2B integration uses JavaScript and server-to-server REST APIs, with access provisioned after signing. This is a more relevant distinction for studios and businesses than for someone planning a single room.

Pricing

Planner 5D is freemium, with a free trial and paid plans. The pricing note gives paid access from $19.99/mo, while the named plans below provide their own billing terms.

Free: 0.00 USD per free, with no time limit. It includes unlimited projects and core 2D/3D design, but only 50% of the furniture catalog. It is a sensible way to plan without a recurring bill, but catalog access is the clear compromise.
Premium: 59.99 USD per year, billed annually. Adds floor-plan upload and conversion to a 3D project, the full premium furniture catalog, standard renders, and a budget widget. This fits users who need a broader catalog or a route from an existing plan without paying for professional rendering tools.
Professional: 399.99 USD per year, billed annually. Includes unlimited 4K renders, custom 3D model uploads, 360° walkthroughs and panoramas, and CAD export. It is aimed at users for whom presentation and export capabilities justify the substantial step up from Premium.
Enterprise: custom pricing around scope and scale. It includes a white-label room planner, 3D product configurator, APIs, and cart, CRM, and ERP connections; this is the business-facing option rather than a personal design plan.

Subscriptions auto-renew. Cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid another charge. Android-only subscriptions do not support cross-platform synchronization, an important limitation for anyone expecting to move projects between devices.

Platforms

Planner 5D is available on Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows. Projects sync across supported devices when users sign in with the same account, except that an Android-only subscription does not support cross-platform sync. That makes the broader platform range useful, but Android subscribers should not assume seamless project transfer.

Who it's for

The product serves non-professionals, homeowners, renovators, and design enthusiasts who want to develop a layout and furnishing plan, as well as interior designers, architects, and studios. The free tier is enough for core 2D/3D planning across unlimited projects; professionals needing CAD export or high-volume 4K renders have a clearer reason to consider Professional. Businesses looking for branded planning or commerce and system connections should look at Enterprise.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free plan has no time limit and allows unlimited projects, making it practical for ongoing personal planning.
Pros: Floor-plan recognition accepts common image, PDF, and CAD formats, while Professional adds CAD export for users who need files back out.
Pros: Its range from room planning to business APIs and commerce integrations gives different kinds of users a route within one product.
Cons: The free plan limits users to half the furniture catalog, and full access requires Premium or above.
Cons: CAD export and unlimited 4K renders sit in the considerably more expensive Professional tier, not Premium.
Cons: Android-only subscriptions cannot sync projects cross-platform, and auto-renewal requires timely cancellation to avoid another charge.

Alternatives

For another freemium home-design app, compare Home Design 3D; its supplied plan information includes a weekly iOS/macOS option at 2.99 USD per month and an Android weekly option at 4.99 USD.

Landscape-focused alternatives include PRO Landscape+, which its maker says has served the professional landscape industry since 1994, and Home Outside Yard Planner, a paid iOS 2D landscape design app. Consider Vectorworks Landmark for a paid option with an annual plan shown at 127.50 USD per year, or DynaScape Design for Windows landscape drafting with plant and symbol libraries; its Design plan is 1599.00 USD per year. SmartDraw, AutoLANDSCAPE, and Neighborbrite are also options to compare.

Verdict

Planner 5D is a strong fit for homeowners and design professionals who want floor plans, furnishing, and 2D/3D visualization in one cross-platform product, with a genuinely usable no-time-limit starting tier. Choose it for that breadth and its upgrade path to CAD and business integrations; look elsewhere if Android subscription sync is essential or if the free catalog cap leaves too little room to work.
