Overview

DefiniteSEO pairs a WordPress SEO plugin with an online audit service and tools for AI-search visibility and content creation. It is best suited to WordPress owners and teams who want site checks alongside automation; its main limitation is that it does not replace a conventional rank-tracking or keyword-research suite.

Key features

The audit service examines technical and on-page SEO, content, links, security, performance, accessibility, and DNS, then prioritizes fixes. That range can help teams triage site work in one place, though it is not a substitute for tracking keyword positions over time or running a dedicated keyword-research workflow.

AI visibility tools check whether ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews cite a site and assess pages for AI-search readiness. These are useful additions for teams concerned with visibility beyond traditional search results, but they do not change the product's limits as a classic SEO suite.

The WordPress plugin can apply one-click or bulk fixes, schedule autopilot fixes, and reverse changes for 30 days. That rollback window gives users a way to undo automated edits. It supports Classic Editor, Gutenberg, Elementor, and WooCommerce, and can import settings from Yoast or Rank Math, easing a transition for existing WordPress sites.

The AI SEO Writer creates search-optimized content for direct WordPress publishing or copying into another CMS. The maker also offers SEO content briefs and direct publishing workflows, making the writing tools relevant to teams that want content creation connected to publishing rather than a standalone drafting tool.

The maker says it uses AES-256 encryption and TLS, and that WordPress plugin data stays on the site unless the user consents. Its privacy policy says it collects account details, submitted domains, usage data, and IP addresses, and does not sell or share personal data with third parties. Support ranges from community help on the free audit plan to email and priority options on paid tiers.

Pricing

DefiniteSEO has separate pricing for its WordPress plugin and SEO Audit SaaS, so the right entry point depends on whether the priority is WordPress automation or project-based audits.

WordPress Plugin — Free: $0 forever, unlimited sites, no account needed, and a core on-page SEO toolkit. It is the broadest option for site count, but the free offer is limited to the core toolkit.
Solo: $4.99 per month, billed annually at $59.88/year, for one site, 8,000 AI credits/year, and email support. This is a low-cost fit for a single-site owner; the one-site cap makes it unsuitable for multi-site work.
Business: $19.99 per year, billed annually at $239.88/year, covering five sites and 20,000 AI credits/year. It suits a small portfolio, but remains capped at five sites.
Agency (WordPress Plugin): $39.99 per year, billed annually at $479.88/year, with 100 sites and 50,000 AI credits/year. Its site allowance is aimed at agency portfolios, though its credit pool is finite.
Managed Pro: $19.90 per year, billed annually, yearly billing only, with unlimited sites, seven SEO tools, and 8,000 AI credits. The site allowance is generous, but the tool and credit limits matter for heavier use.
SEO Audit SaaS — Free: $0 forever for one project, 50 pages/month, and one team seat; guests can start with five pages on one site. It provides a small-scale way to assess a site, with page and seat caps that constrain ongoing team use.
Starter: $14.90 per year, billed annually at $178.80/year, with three projects, 250 pages/month, one team seat, and three client-viewer seats. It fits a small client roster, but offers only one working team seat.
Pro: $49.90 per year, billed annually at $598.80/year, with 10 projects, 1,000 pages/month, three team seats, and 10 client-viewer seats. It gives growing teams more room, but still limits active team seats to three.
Agency (SEO Audit SaaS): $99.90 per year, billed annually at $1,198.80/year, with 50 projects, 2,500 pages/month, 10 team seats, and 50 client-viewer seats. Its higher project and seat allowances suit larger client operations, while the monthly page ceiling remains relevant for broad crawls.

A free trial is available. The audit SaaS paid tiers state 20% savings, and the annual billing amounts are shown above; teams should weigh those commitments against their project, page, and seat needs.

Platforms

DefiniteSEO lists Android, iOS, API, browser extension, Linux, macOS, self-hosted, web, and Windows platforms. The WordPress plugin's editor and commerce integrations make it especially relevant to WordPress workflows.

Who it's for

Website owners can use the free plugin or audit tier to start with on-page work or a limited site review. WordPress users who want bulk or scheduled fixes, SEO professionals managing audits, and agencies needing multiple projects and client-viewer seats have clearer paid paths. Readers whose central need is classic rank tracking or keyword research should choose a more specialized suite instead.

Pros and cons

Pro: Audits span technical SEO, content, security, performance, accessibility, and DNS, with prioritized fixes to help teams focus their remediation.
Pro: WordPress automation includes bulk and scheduled fixes plus a 30-day reversal window, reducing the risk of being locked into an unwanted change.
Pro: Separate plugin and audit plans offer free starting points, including unlimited sites on the plugin tier and a guest audit option.
Con: The audit SaaS is not a standalone classic rank-tracking or keyword-research suite, limiting its fit for traditional search-performance workflows.
Con: Paid audit plans impose monthly page and team-seat caps, so larger crawls or collaborative teams may need a higher tier.

Alternatives

Choose Semrush if you want a broader SEO platform and are willing to consider its paid SEO plan; its free option includes one demo project and 10 reports per day. Ahrefs is an alternative when limited Site Explorer and Site Audit access on a free plan is enough to begin. For dedicated keyword-position monitoring, Positionly offers a free allowance of five keywords for one website.

Google Search Console is a free web-based option for site owners with a Google account who need search-performance data. Choose Screaming Frog SEO Spider for desktop crawling when a 500-URL free crawl is sufficient, or an unlimited-URL paid licence is needed. Mangools is another freemium SEO option, while SEOPress suits WordPress users looking for an SEO plugin with an unlimited-sites free tier. For content-focused work, Frase is an alternative with a paid Starter plan.

Verdict

DefiniteSEO is a strong fit for WordPress owners and agencies who want automation, broad site audits, and AI-search visibility in one product family. Its free entry points and rollback window are practical advantages; look elsewhere if rank tracking or keyword research is central to your SEO work.
