Overview

Hitch is an AI dating coach for adults who want help reading online conversations and deciding what to say next. It suits people who also want support with profiles, openers, and date plans, but is a weaker fit for anyone unwilling to submit chat text or screenshots.

Its strongest case is the combination of conversation feedback and practical tools for several stages of dating. The free tier can demonstrate that range, though tight daily caps make it better for occasional use than for ongoing coaching.

Key features

Conversation feedback and replies

Paste conversation text or upload a screenshot, and Hitch returns a temperature score from 0 to 10, a plain-English diagnosis, and reply suggestions. The score and diagnosis add context beyond a simple message generator, which can help users judge whether a chat is progressing before choosing a response. Hitch says it works with Hinge, Bumble, Tinder, Match, OkCupid, Grindr, Feeld, WhatsApp, and Instagram DMs.

Tools beyond the chat

Personalized openers, red-flag checks, profile and photo reviews, and date planning extend Hitch beyond message drafting. Pro adds practice mode and a fuller photo breakdown with fixes. That breadth is useful if you want one service for multiple parts of online dating; someone seeking only occasional reply help may not need the extra toolkit.

Privacy and security

Hitch says submitted conversations are not used to train third-party AI models and are retained for up to 30 days by default before automatic deletion. It says it uses TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, encryption at rest, restricted access controls, and regular security reviews. It does not collect phone contacts, photo library contents, camera or microphone data, or precise GPS location. These protections may ease some concerns, but using conversation analysis still means sharing private exchanges with the service.

Stripe processes payments, and Hitch says it does not store full card numbers on its servers. General support is available at support@hitch.dating; privacy questions can go to privacy@hitch.dating.

Pricing

Hitch is freemium. Free costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 5 conversation scans, 3 openers, and 5 red-flag checks per day, plus 1 date plan and 1 bio per day, 1 profile review per day, and one free Photo Picker try. Those quotas offer a reasonable way to sample the range, but regular users can run through the conversation and opener allowances quickly.

Pro yearly costs 59.99 USD per year, billed $59.99/year — save 50%. It includes unlimited everything, Practice Mode, a full Photo Picker breakdown with fixes, personality-matched replies, and priority access to new features. The yearly commitment makes sense for frequent users who will use several tools; occasional daters can stay on Free if its daily caps are enough. Hitch also describes paid access as from $5/mo (annual).

Platforms

Hitch is available on Android, iOS, and the web. It has no browser extension, so it is not the choice for someone who specifically wants an extension-based workflow.

Who it's for

Hitch is intended for adults aged 18 and over who date online and want help getting matches, responding, asking someone out, or keeping a conversation going. Its mix of interpretation and drafting is particularly relevant if you want guidance on both what a chat may mean and what to do next.

Pros and cons

Conversation assessment with reply ideas: a temperature score and diagnosis accompany suggested responses, rather than leaving users with draft text alone.
Broad set of dating tools: openers, red-flag checks, profile and photo reviews, and date planning cover more than messaging.
Useful privacy boundaries: Hitch says chats are not used to train third-party AI models and are automatically deleted after up to 30 days by default.
Restrictive free quotas: five scans and three openers a day may be limiting for anyone relying on regular coaching.
Annual Pro billing: the $59.99/year plan removes usage limits, but requires a yearly payment rather than a monthly commitment.
Chat submission is required for analysis: users who do not want to share conversation text or screenshots should look elsewhere.

Verdict

Choose Hitch if you want one adult-focused dating toolkit that assesses conversations as well as suggesting replies, with profile, photo, opener, and date-planning support alongside it. Its main trade-off is the need to submit chats for analysis, while the free tier's small daily allowances make Pro the more practical choice for frequent use.
