Overview

Daisie pairs daily interactive workshops with recorded video lessons that students can watch on their own schedule. Courses are taught online, so learners can take them from anywhere. That mix suits people who value a live format but need some flexibility; it is less compelling for someone looking only for guaranteed personal critique, since instructor comments on student work are not promised.

Learners can seek feedback from experts and peers, and Daisie invites visitors to join its Discord community. The homepage reports an average student rating of 4.8 out of 5 from more than 10,000 reviews.

Key features

Two ways to learn

Daily live workshops provide an interactive option, while recorded lessons accommodate different schedules. The combination gives creative learners more than an on-demand video library, though the course page does not guarantee direct instructor feedback.

Course-specific requirements

Requirements can shape whether a class is practical to take. One animation course calls for art equipment, Procreate on iPad, and Photoshop with the Animator’s Toolbar installed on iPad, Macbook, or PC. Check that a course’s tools match your equipment before committing; a course can be online and still require a particular setup.

Pricing

Daisie uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a 7-day trial offering full access. The Standard subscription is 0.00 USD per year (billed $0/mo billed annually ($0); Full access during 7-day trial). That means the stated Standard price does not add a paid commitment, while the trial provides a week of full access. No paid tier price is given, so a paid membership is custom pricing. Subscription refund requests can be sent to hello@daisie.com.

Platforms

Daisie is available on iOS and the web. Mobile app support is iOS-only, so Android users should use the web version rather than expect a dedicated Android app.

Who it's for

Daisie is a good fit for creative learners who want live workshops, flexible video lessons, and access to peer and expert feedback in one place. It is a weaker choice for learners who need assured one-to-one instructor comments or who do not have the tools a particular course requires.

Pros and cons

Pro: Daily interactive workshops and self-paced video lessons cover both scheduled and flexible study.

Con: Direct instructor comments on student work are not guaranteed, which matters to anyone choosing a course primarily for individual critique.
Con: Some courses call for specific hardware and software, including Procreate and Photoshop for the cited animation course.
Con: Mobile app support is limited to iOS, leaving Android users to access Daisie on the web.
