Overview

Vtiger CRM is a customer relationship platform that brings sales, marketing and support teams onto shared customer records. It suits organizations that need cross-team context alongside sales and automation tools, though the free plan’s quotas make it a better starting point than a long-term fit for growing teams.

Its open-source core, more than 500 app connections and Android and iOS apps give it a broad foundation. The trade-off is a tiered plan structure whose record and email limits deserve close attention before a team commits.

Key features

Shared customer context: Sales, marketing and support teams can share customer data and interactions in one platform. That can reduce handoffs for businesses where multiple groups engage the same customers.
Sales management: A visual pipeline, lead scoring and sales forecasting support sales work beyond basic contact management.
Automation and email: Marketing automation, email marketing and workflow automation cover outreach and recurring processes; email sync connects email with CRM activity. Monthly email quotas vary by plan, so high-volume teams should check those caps.
Integrations: Vtiger connects with more than 500 apps, including Mailchimp, Microsoft Outlook, Google, QuickBooks, Xero and Zapier. That breadth may help teams retain existing tools rather than replace them.
Plan flexibility: Existing plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any point, and Booster Packs can raise feature limits without a plan upgrade. Standard and Single App licenses are offered to optimize subscription costs.
Mobile and security: Android and iOS apps extend access beyond desktop use. Vtiger says it complies with GDPR, ISO and other standards.

Pricing

Vtiger offers a free plan and paid plans billed annually. Yearly billing can save up to 34%, and local taxes are charged in addition to listed prices. Paid plan prices below are per user per month, billed annually.

One Pilot: Free forever for up to 10 users, 3,000 records, 1,000 emails per month and 3 GB of storage. This is a useful no-cost starting point for a small team, but the record and email ceilings can constrain sustained use.
One Growth: $12.00 USD per month, with 15 users, 100,000 records and 5,000 emails per month or 500 per user. It is the entry paid tier for teams that have outgrown Pilot, but its 15-user cap and email allowance still matter.
One Professional: $30.00 USD per month, with unlimited users and records and 20,000 emails per month or 2,000 per user. It suits larger deployments needing room to expand, although the monthly email allowance remains bounded.
One Enterprise: $42.00 USD per month, with unlimited users and records. Choose it when those capacity needs justify moving above Professional.
One AI: $50.00 USD per month, with unlimited users and records. It is the top listed tier, though the plan details here do not specify additional inclusions beyond those limits.

The free trial gives access to core features and does not require a credit card. Plan changes are allowed at any point, and Booster Packs provide another route to higher feature limits.

Platforms

Vtiger has mobile applications for Android and iOS. Those options fit teams that need CRM access on either major mobile platform.

Who it's for

Vtiger is a strong candidate for organizations that want sales, marketing and support working from shared customer interactions, especially when integrations with existing business apps matter. Small teams can begin with Pilot, while organizations with more users or records should compare Growth and Professional caps against their expected volume. Teams seeking a narrowly scoped tool or a plan with clearly stated AI inclusions may want to compare alternatives before choosing.

Pros and cons

Pro — Cross-team customer records: Sales, marketing and support share data and interactions, a practical fit for organizations where customer work spans departments.
Pro — Broad integrations: More than 500 app connections, including common email, accounting and automation tools, support keeping an existing software stack.
Pro — A real free entry point: Pilot supports 10 users, making it possible for a small group to start without a subscription.
Con — Free usage is capped: Pilot stops at 3,000 records, 1,000 monthly emails and 3 GB of storage, so usage growth can force a plan change.
Con — Growth still has capacity ceilings: Its 15-user cap and email allowance may be limiting for expanding teams.
Con — Higher tiers cost more: Professional, Enterprise and AI rise to $30.00, $42.00 and $50.00 USD per month respectively, per user billed annually.

Verdict

Choose Vtiger CRM if your organization needs sales, marketing and support to share customer context, with broad integrations and a free entry tier. Its main advantage is that cross-team scope; its main reason to look elsewhere is the need to manage plan-specific user, record and email limits as usage grows.
