Overview

Convertigo brings business teams and professional developers into one application-building platform: the No Code Studio serves business users, while the Low Code Studio and pro-code support accommodate developers. Developers are unlimited, so team size on the technical side is not tied to developer seats. The platform targets pixel-perfect applications across web, mobile and desktop, making it more flexible than a tool focused on one app format.

Hosting can be managed Cloud, on premises or on a customer’s own Cloud infrastructure. License fees include an SLA, 9/5 support five days a week, managed Cloud or on-premises hosting and version upgrades. That package is useful for organizations that want operational support alongside the development environment. Pricing also depends on audience: internal-user pricing is based on application end users, while external-user pricing is based on actual usage volume.

Key features

Business and developer studios: No Code Studio gives business teams a visual path into application building, while Low Code Studio and pro-code support offer developers a more technical route. This division can suit mixed-skill teams, though the platform’s range may be more than a small project needs.
Data connectivity: Convertigo connects through REST, SOAP, SQL and OData, and the platform includes over 300 connectors. Named options include Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Google Drive, Kafka, Mistral AI and ChatGPT, alongside IBM 3270/5250, DB400 and DB2. This breadth is valuable when applications must draw on varied systems, rather than being built around a narrow set of services.
Offline operation: Full Sync synchronizes application data after connectivity returns, enabling offline use. That matters for mobile workflows in places where a live connection cannot be assumed.
Identity and security: Built-in authentication supports LDAP, OAuth 2.0, OpenID and SAML 2.0, including Windows Active Directory integration. Convertigo also describes encryption, secure connections and access control, capabilities that align with enterprise application needs.
Workflow and roles: Workflow automation and role permissions are supported, giving teams tools to structure processes and access within applications.

Pricing

Convertigo uses a freemium model, with paid pricing starting at €15/user/mo and a 7-day trial. The internal-user and external-user pricing bases differ, so organizations should weigh expected application usage as well as the per-user rate.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best fit
Community Edition	Custom pricing	1 environment	Teams evaluating the platform or working within a single environment. The cap is a meaningful constraint for separating development and deployment stages.
Starter Edition	15.00 EUR per month, billed per user	No Code Studio; 99.5% uptime guarantee; 9/5 support and SLA; LDAP/OAuth/OpenID; on-premises or managed Cloud; 2 environments; offline data and NoSQL	Teams wanting a supported deployment with two environments and offline capability. The stated price is per user, and the listed authentication options do not include every method supported by the platform.
Enterprise Edition	20.00 EUR per month, billed per user	Dedicated CSM; DevOps integration; billing and analytics; RPA connectors; unlimited environments; SAP BAPI connectors	Organizations that need unlimited environments, DevOps integration or the additional connectors and account support. It costs more per user than Starter, so those additions matter most when the team will use them.

The paid editions include support and hosting terms, but the external-user usage basis makes audience size and actual usage relevant to cost planning. Developers are unlimited; the user-based price is not a developer-seat charge.

Platforms

Convertigo supports Android, iOS, web, API, Linux, macOS, Windows and self-hosted deployment. Studio downloads are provided for Windows, Mac and Linux. The combination of mobile, web and desktop targets with customer-controlled hosting suits organizations that need more than a managed-cloud-only approach.

Who it's for

Convertigo is a strong candidate for SMEs and large organizations building applications around multiple data systems, especially in banking, insurance and retail. Its offline synchronization, enterprise authentication and hosting options speak to teams with operational requirements beyond a simple app prototype. It is less compelling for a small project that needs only one straightforward app and has no need for broad integrations, offline operation or multiple environments.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad connector coverage: More than 300 connectors and support for REST, SOAP, SQL and OData can reduce friction when application data spans different systems.
Flexible delivery: Managed Cloud, on-premises and customer-cloud hosting give organizations control over where applications run.
Offline and enterprise identity support: Full Sync, LDAP, OAuth 2.0, OpenID and SAML 2.0 address practical mobile and access-management needs.
Unlimited developers: Technical team size is not limited by developer seats, although user-based pricing still applies.

Cons

Community Edition has one environment: That can constrain teams that need separate stages for development and deployment.
Usage-based pricing can complicate budgeting: External-user charges depend on actual usage volume rather than only a fixed per-user count.
Starter is not the full enterprise feature set: Unlimited environments, DevOps integration, billing and analytics, RPA connectors and SAP BAPI connectors are Enterprise additions.

Alternatives

For a broader category comparison, see Low-Code Development Platforms or No-code app builders.

AgilePoint NX is another freemium option with a free plan and trial; its Community Edition allows 25 named users and two applications, while Standard is 39.00 USD per month. Choose it when those stated user and application allowances are a closer starting point.
Alpha Anywhere offers a free developer edition for web and mobile development, connection to any data source and unlimited apps. It may suit developers seeking those free-plan capabilities.
Draftbit has a free tier with one sandbox, three projects, two apps per project, one REST API integration per project and 5,000 one-time credits. Its Standard plan is 12.00. It is a reasonable alternative when those project and API limits fit the work.
FlutterFlow offers a free plan with up to two projects, 10 Lite credits, five lifetime AI requests and up to two API endpoints; its Basic plan is 39.00 USD per month. Consider it when a smaller project allowance and limited API endpoints are sufficient.
GeneXus offers a free plan for building a first MVP with AI assistants and agents, plus a trial. It may suit a team beginning with an MVP.
MaxBlox has a free Community plan with unlimited apps, 1,000 visitors, 10 private users and one environment. It is an option when those free-tier limits align with the intended use.
Omnis Studio offers a lifetime-free Community Edition with deployment limited by concurrent users; its allowance is five concurrent users. Consider it when that concurrency cap works for the application.
Protogrid is another freemium option for readers comparing application-building platforms.

Verdict

Choose Convertigo if your organization needs a full-stack builder that can serve both business users and developers, connect to varied enterprise systems, work offline and run on infrastructure you control. Its main advantage is the combination of connector breadth, hosting flexibility and enterprise-oriented capabilities; its main drawback is that the Community Edition’s single environment is limited, while paid costs can depend on user or usage volume. For a simple app that does not need those capabilities, a narrower tool may be a better fit.
