Overview

ChMeetings is church management software for congregations that want to manage people, giving, events, finances, and worship planning in one system. It is best suited to churches that can use that breadth and whose active membership fits its people-based plans. Its free tier offers a way to start, while the paid tiers scale by congregation size.

Jios Apps Inc, a U.S.-based software company, launched ChMeetings in 2018. Its combination of administrative and service-planning tools makes it relevant to Church Management Software buyers and churches comparing Church Scheduling Software.

Key features

People and contributions

Member profiles, bulk management, group organization, and an online and printable directory cover core congregation-record needs. Churches can track member and guest contributions made online or offline, run pledge campaigns, and export or print donation statements. PayPal and Stripe process payment data; ChMeetings says it retains only necessary payment details, such as the last four card digits.

Events and worship planning

Event management includes free or paid registration, volunteer scheduling, attendance tracking, QR check-in, child check-in, and name-tag printing. That range is useful for churches coordinating both event logistics and attendance, though voice and text messages initiated through ChMeetings or its branded church app can add costs.

For service planning, teams can build service orders, maintain a song library, and schedule worship-team roles. This makes the product more than a member database, particularly for churches that want volunteer and worship coordination alongside administration.

Accounting and integrations

The accounting module supports fund tracking, bank transaction syncing, budgets, financial reports, and check printing. Integrations include Stripe, PayPal, BlueSnap, Paystack, Mailchimp, Twilio, SMS Global, Clickatell, Eazismspro, Bulk SMS Nigeria, Zeffy, Zapier, and the ChMeetings API. Churches should weigh those connections against their existing payment, communications, and automation setup.

Security and support

ChMeetings says it runs on Microsoft Azure, encrypts data in transit and at rest, stores customer data in the United States, and makes daily backups. Customers cannot choose a data residency region. Its security page describes GDPR measures, optional two-factor authentication, role-based access, and activity logs; access-log reports are limited to paid users. Support is included on all plans through phone, live chat, email, tickets, and a help center, with free onboarding and training also offered.

Pricing

ChMeetings has a free plan, paid plans from $12.00 USD per month, and a 30-day trial. Only active people count toward the people limit. The free plan is billed Free Forever and allows 50 people and 50 donations per month, making it a narrow but useful starting point for a small church. Its donation quota and people cap make it less suitable as activity grows.

V. Small: $12.00 USD per month, billed monthly, for 100 people. Annual billing is also offered at 10 months instead of 12. This is the lowest paid tier for congregations outgrowing the free cap.
Small: $25.00 USD per month for 250 people; Medium: $40.00 USD per month for 500 people; and Large: $50.00 USD per month for 1,000 people. Each is billed monthly, with annual billing at 10 months instead of 12. These tiers fit churches that need more capacity without paying for unlimited people.
Unlimited: $60.00 USD per month, billed monthly, with unlimited people. Annual billing at 10 months instead of 12 is also offered. This is the clearest fit for a church that would otherwise exceed the fixed caps.

Paid plans retain the same broad range of tools and included support, while the published plan distinction is people capacity. Messaging can carry extra charges, so churches that rely on voice or text outreach should account for that alongside the subscription.

Platforms

ChMeetings has Android and iOS mobile apps, plus browser access and an optional desktop app. An API is also available. This covers churches that need mobile access for staff or volunteers as well as browser-based administration.

Who it's for

ChMeetings suits churches seeking a single system for member administration, contribution tracking, events, accounting, and worship-team scheduling. Its free plan is most relevant to congregations within the 50-person and 50-donation monthly limits; growing churches can move through paid tiers based on active people. It is a weaker fit for organizations that require control over data residency or expect messaging to be included without possible extra charges.

Pros and cons

Pro: People, giving, events, accounting, and worship planning share one platform, reducing the need to coordinate those functions across separate tools.
Pro: Paid capacity ranges from 100 people to unlimited, with annual billing offered at 10 months instead of 12.
Pro: Support is included on every plan, and onboarding and training are offered free.
Con: The free plan caps the account at 50 people and 50 donations per month, limiting its usefulness for larger or busier congregations.
Con: Voice and text messaging can cost extra, and access-log reports are paid-user only.
Con: Customer data is stored in the United States, with no customer-selected residency region.

Alternatives

Choose Faith Teams if a free account for up to 100 active people is the more useful starting point; its free account requires activating online giving within 30 days of signup. Planning Center is worth considering for a modular free start, with separate free Calendar, People, and Services plans carrying limits such as one room, five team members, or an unlimited database and reporting. For donation-focused use, Tithely Giving offers free giving with no monthly fees, transaction fees, and unlimited donations; its Giving + Church Management plan is $72.00 USD per month.

ChurchTrac is a paid alternative with monthly plans at $29.00 USD for 75 people and $39.00 USD for 125 people. Rock RMS is a free, self-hosted option with a recommended donation of $4.45 per average weekend attendee per year, structured as a pledge. FellowshipOne is another paid church-management option with custom pricing.

ChurchSuite is a paid alternative with a $15.50 USD monthly Solo plan for 0–99 active contacts and the Address Book module. Churchteams is a paid alternative with a $10.00 USD monthly Text-to-Church plan that includes a data line and the first 500 outbound texts.

Verdict

ChMeetings is a strong choice for churches that want administration, finances, events, and worship coordination together, with capacity that scales from a small free account to unlimited people. Choose it when those combined tools and included support matter more than regional data control; look elsewhere if U.S.-only data storage or potentially extra messaging costs are deal-breakers.
