Overview

Bulsee brings attendance records, group administration, and member conversations into one service. It suits organizers who run recurring activities and want check-ins connected to the wider life of a group. Its breadth is useful when attendance is only one part of the job, but can be unnecessary for a simple sign-in list.

Key features

Members can check in with one tap or a QR code, and organizers can record attendance for them. Absence and tardiness tracking, automated alerts, and reports on attendance rates and participation trends help organizers follow engagement over time. These tools suit groups that want more than a headcount; family notifications are not included, which matters for programs that need to keep parents or other relatives informed.

Group owners can manage members and roles, approval requests, recurring schedules, event registration, cancellations, and capacity. Boards, announcements, posts, comments, and activity feeds give a group shared spaces for communication, while one-to-one text and image messaging supports direct exchanges. Workout logs, group challenges, quizzes, coach notes, membership passes, and push notifications extend the offering for fitness and activity-oriented communities. The range is a strength for groups combining administration with participation, but it may be more than a small group needs.

Google and Apple account sign-in are supported. The maker says it does not sell personal information or collect GPS or Wi-Fi location data, device contacts, or payment information. Its privacy policy says data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS, database storage uses AWS RDS encryption, and uploaded images use AWS S3 server-side encryption. Users can request account deletion in the app; account information and service usage records are deleted within 30 days. Registration is limited to people aged 14 or older. Support is available in-app and by email, with a stated response time of 1–2 business days.

Pricing

Bulsee has a free plan at 0.00 USD per free. The plan is an appealing starting point for organizers who want to bring attendance and group communication together without a paid commitment. No seat or usage caps are stated, so the practical fit depends on whether its included functions meet the group's needs rather than a published quota. There are no other plans to compare here.

Platforms

Bulsee is available on Android, iOS, and the web, giving members and organizers mobile and browser access. That mix suits groups whose members use different devices.

Who it's for

The maker names academies and classes, study groups, clubs, workplace circles, and fitness classes as intended communities. Bulsee is most compelling for organizers who need attendance and event administration alongside member communication. A group that only needs a basic roll call, or one that depends on family notifications, should consider whether the combined feature set matches its needs.

Pros and cons

Pros: One-tap and QR check-in, organizer-recorded attendance, and reports bring several parts of attendance management together.
Pros: Member roles, event workflows, group posts, and direct messaging make it possible to manage group activity as well as attendance.
Pros: A free plan and Android, iOS, and web access lower the barrier to trying it across a mixed-device group.
Cons: Family notifications are absent, limiting its fit for groups that need attendance updates to reach families.
Cons: Its community and activity features may be unnecessary overhead for organizers seeking only a simple sign-in tool.
