Overview

Teams can import an HTML design and define editable areas through a visual theme editor or HTML classes and attributes. That makes Blocks Edit useful when designers want to preserve a layout while letting colleagues update its content. It supports websites, blogs, landing pages, marketing emails, digital forms and other content, and can publish to a chosen host or CDN or export email content to service providers.

The boundary is important: Blocks Edit helps prepare email content but does not send messages to customers or hold audience lists. Teams still need a separate delivery tool, and audience management is outside its stated scope.

Key features

Editing and preview

Inline editing and drag-and-drop components let editors work within a prepared design rather than change every detail in code. Live preview and editing for mobile and dark mode help teams address those views before publishing. This favors organizations with existing HTML designs; it is not a blank-canvas design workflow.

Team review and checks

Commenting, role-based permissions, revision history, a shared content library and campaign checklists support collaborative approval. Checklist-based review, broken or missing link flags and automated image formatting can catch routine issues before content moves on. These tools make more sense for teams with review steps than for solo users who only need occasional edits.

Connections and safeguards

Direct connections include AWS, GCP Storage, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, Iterable, Okta and OneLogin; sFTP and SAML are standard support. The product says it works with HTML, CSS and JavaScript platforms. Custom integration requests require a yearly plan with at least five team members, which may rule out smaller teams that need a bespoke connection.

Blocks Edit says remote server access uses VPN and two-factor authentication and is restricted to workers who need it for their work. Uploaded files are backed up daily, and data sent over public networks is encrypted. Its stated PII scope is limited to team member account credentials; it does not send customer emails or hold audience lists.

Pricing

The free plan is $0.00 USD per free and provides solo editing, unlimited editing and 5 GB storage. It is a reasonable starting point for an individual working within that storage cap, but the plan is explicitly solo, so it does not serve as a free team collaboration tier.

The 5 users plan is 99.00 USD per year, billed yearly, for five users. Yearly is 20.00 USD per year, shown as $20 per user with five users at $99 per month after a struck-through $125 per month; integrations are priced separately. The presentation distinguishes yearly billing from the quoted monthly team figure, so teams should confirm the billing total before committing. Collaborate is 240.00 USD per year, billed at $240 per year ($20.00/month, billed annually), with 250 GB storage. Additional storage costs 25.00 USD per month for each additional 250 GB increment.

Integrations are priced at 10.00 USD per month, billed at $10 per user per month for each integration, covering asset hosts, email providers and SSO. The pricing note also gives paid plans from $10/user/mo and a 30-day trial. Custom pricing applies where a plan has no published price; custom integration requests require a yearly plan and at least five members. The cheaper solo option gives up team seats, while integration costs can add up per user and per connection.

Platforms

Blocks Edit is available on the web. Its compatibility with HTML, CSS and JavaScript platforms and publishing to a host or CDN make it adaptable to different web environments, but it still depends on a separate service for email delivery.

Who it's for

Freelancers, agencies and enterprise teams may use it to put controlled editing and approval around existing HTML. It also suits marketers, managers, designers, developers, copywriters and content editors who share responsibility for producing content. Solo creators can start with the free plan, while teams should weigh seat and integration charges against their review and storage needs.

Pros and cons

Pros: HTML setup through either a visual theme editor or classes and attributes gives designers control over what editors can change.
Pros: Comments, permissions, revisions and checklists support a traceable team review process.
Pros: Mobile and dark-mode preview, link checks and image formatting address practical pre-publishing tasks.
Cons: It does not deliver customer email or manage audience lists, so campaign operations need other software.
Cons: Free use is limited to solo editing and 5 GB storage; team collaboration requires a paid plan.
Cons: Integrations are priced per user per month for each connection, and custom integration requests require at least five team members on a yearly plan.

Verdict

Choose Blocks Edit if your team already works with HTML and needs a controlled way to edit, review and publish content across formats. Its collaborative checks and flexible setup are the main reasons to choose it; look elsewhere if you need email delivery, audience management, or a team plan without per-user integration costs.
