Overview

Belliata is salon-management software for businesses that want appointment booking, client records, and point-of-sale operations in one system. Its broad mix of scheduling and retail tools makes it a natural fit for salons and spas managing several staff, while its free plan gives smaller operators a way to start without a subscription. The trade-off is that useful customer-engagement tools such as SMS reminders and loyalty points sit behind paid options.

Key features

Scheduling and booking

The calendar combines appointment creation with color-coded services, quick rebooking, and resource blocking. Staff schedules can account for breaks, training, and vacations, which helps businesses coordinate availability rather than treating the calendar as a list of appointments. Clients can book around the clock through a salon website or Facebook page; booking can also be added to Weebly, WordPress, and Wix. That reach is useful for salons already using those channels, though businesses seeking a branded booking page will need a premium feature.

Client records and reminders

Records bring together booking and purchase history, with optional birthday reminders. The free plan sends email reminders 24 hours before appointments, a practical baseline for reducing missed visits. SMS reminders are a premium feature, with SMS priced from $0.02; salons that rely on text messaging should factor that usage cost into their choice.

POS, stock, and customer retention

The POS tracks stock and counts, supports retail sales without an appointment, and reports sales by beautician. Automated commission calculations can reduce manual work for businesses paying staff on sales or services. Client feedback surveys and sales reports add follow-up and oversight, while expanded reporting, online payments, Google review requests, and customer loyalty points are premium features. This is a broad operational set, but salons wanting those customer-facing extras should budget for a paid plan.

Support and privacy

Belliata says support is available seven days a week through onboarding, live chat, email, and YouTube videos, with a target response within four hours. It says its website uses SSL and AWS hosting, and its privacy policy says it follows the European Data Protection Directive and ePrivacy Directive and does not sell personal or business data.

Pricing

Belliata has a free plan and paid plans. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes beauty salon software, free email reminders, and free support. It suits a salon that can work with email reminders and does not need paid features such as SMS, online payments, or loyalty points.

START is 20.00 USD per month, billed annually or monthly. Its pricing is based on one first staff member at 20, with extra staff shown at 0 × 3; stock is limited to 10 products, and SMS pricing starts at $0.02. The product cap makes START a better fit for a small operation with a compact retail range than for a salon with deeper inventory needs.

PRO is 30.00 USD per month, billed annually or monthly. It prices the first staff member at 30 and extra staff at 0 × 5, with SMS from $0.02. Compared with START, it is positioned for businesses adding more staff, but the plan details do not state a stock cap for PRO. Both paid plans offer monthly or annual billing; choose the term with care, since annual billing commits to a longer payment period. SMS carries a separate per-message price.

Platforms

Belliata supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows, making it suitable for businesses that need desktop access alongside mobile use.

Who it's for

Belliata serves beauty and wellness businesses of any size, including salons, barbers, spas, and massage therapists. It is especially relevant to operators who want scheduling, booking, client history, retail stock, and commission calculations together. A business that needs just a lightweight appointment calendar, or that depends on SMS and retention tools without upgrading, may find the free tier too limited.

Pros and cons

Pros: Online booking through websites and Facebook, with integrations for Weebly, WordPress, and Wix, gives clients multiple routes to schedule.
Pros: Stock tracking, walk-in retail sales, sales by beautician, and automated commissions cover both service and retail workflows.
Pros: The free plan includes email reminders and support, giving smaller businesses a no-subscription starting point.
Cons: SMS reminders and several customer-engagement features are premium options, and SMS has an additional per-message cost.
Cons: START limits stock to 10 products, which can constrain salons with larger retail selections.

Alternatives

Salon Marketing Software is a category to explore when marketing tools are the main priority rather than Belliata's combined salon operations.

Choose WellnessLiving if you want a paid service with a free trial and a Starter plan at 62.00 USD per month billed annually, which includes one staff member, booking for classes and appointments, client and staff apps, and POS. FollowThrough is a freemium option with a free plan capped at 25 contacts and one user, plus pipeline and task tools; its focus may suit contact tracking better than salon operations. SalonApp is another freemium choice whose free tier allows up to 15 clients, 20 appointments a month, and one staff member, a fit for very small appointment volumes.

Salonist offers a free marketplace tier with 50 appointments a month, online booking, scheduling, and staff shift management, so it is worth considering when those caps match a small salon's needs. Demandforce is a paid alternative. Beauty Pro may suit businesses looking at paid plans without a free tier; its Light plan is 25.00 EUR per month and includes 500 products, one warehouse, and three accounts. Cleomitra is a paid option with an Engage Starter plan at 999.00 INR per month, including WhatsApp, up to 5,000 per month, one ready-made flow, and self-service onboarding. DaySmart Salon is a paid alternative with a Basic plan at 29.00 USD per month for one user, online booking, appointment confirmations, social booking, and payments.

Verdict

Belliata is a strong fit for beauty and wellness businesses that want scheduling, online booking, client history, and retail operations under one roof, especially if they can begin with free email reminders. Its operational breadth is the main reason to choose it; look elsewhere if you need SMS and customer-retention features included at no extra cost, or if START's 10-product stock limit is too restrictive.
