Overview

Badger Maps is a field-sales platform that combines customer mapping, route planning, CRM connections, and AI automation. It is best suited to B2B sales teams that organize customer visits by territory and location. Its strongest case is bringing those workflows together; the web app’s internet requirement and the distinction between CRM integration tiers matter when choosing a plan.

Sales representatives, managers, operations teams, and field-service roles are among its intended users. The product supports visit planning, territory management, lead capture, route optimization, and visit check-ins, so it can serve as more than a map for reps in the field.

Explore it alongside Field Sales Software, Sales Mapping Software, and Route Planning Software.

Key features

Routing and customer maps

Route optimization supports up to 120 stops, with live traffic and turn-by-turn navigation integrations. That capacity gives reps room to plan a full day of visits in one route; teams with larger routes should account for the cap. Customer records can be filtered and colorized by custom fields, while map layers show postal codes, points of interest, and counties. Together, these tools help teams organize visits around both customer attributes and geography.

CRM connections

Native integrations include Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, NetSuite, Pipedrive, monday.com, Insightly, SugarCRM, Veeva, and Odoo. Custom CRMs and databases can connect through FTP or REST API, and Zapier can connect other apps. The integration tier is consequential: Standard covers Accounts or Contacts and one related Task or Activity, while Advanced supports unlimited objects and their relationships. Teams relying on several linked CRM objects should not assume the lower tier will cover their workflow.

Security and field access

Badger says customer data is hosted on AWS, traffic is protected with HTTPS using SSL/TLS, and daily backups are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and retained for up to 12 months. Its security page states compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and 42 CFR Part 2; Enterprise pricing specifically includes HIPAA compliance and support.

The web app requires an internet connection for its features. Reps can continue navigating a current route if they prepared offline maps in Google Maps, but that is not offline access to the Badger Maps app. Teams that need the app itself to work offline should look elsewhere.

Pricing

Badger Maps has a 14-day free Personal plan, plus paid plans billed per user, territory, or license as indicated below. Annual and monthly prices differ where both are offered.

Plan	Price and terms	What it includes
Personal	0.00 USD per free; 14-day free plan	Full Business feature set, route optimization up to 120 stops, and native iOS and Android apps
Badger Scoreboard	12.00 USD per month per user, billed annually; $14/mo billed monthly. Minimum 5 licenses; price declines to $8/mo after 40 users	Leaderboards and gamification

Badger Insights	50.00 USD per month per user, billed annually; $60/mo billed monthly	Territory insights, heat, bubble, and thematic maps, and reports
Business	58.00 USD per month per user, billed annually; $69/mo per user billed monthly	Single-object, two-way real-time CRM integration, lead generation, team roles and permissions, and API access
Enterprise	95.00 USD per month per user, billed annually; $109/mo per user billed monthly	Multiple CRM objects, SSO with SCIM, dedicated account manager and support, HIPAA compliance and support, and an API limit of 25k requests per day per team
Enterprise Plus	Custom pricing; get a quote	Everything in Enterprise, plus custom development, territory alignment, territory-based lead routing, scenario planning, and gamification

Personal is useful for evaluating the full Business feature set for 14 days, but it is not an ongoing free tier. Scoreboard, Lead Routing, and Align are narrower choices for teams seeking those functions and meeting their minimums; they do not describe a replacement for the broader Business plan. Insights adds reporting and territory views, while Business is the entry point for CRM integration and team controls. Enterprise is the fit for multiple CRM objects, SSO, or its dedicated support; Enterprise Plus adds custom work and planning tools at a quoted price.

The pricing page includes phone and chat support, and support is also provided by email, scheduled calls, and phone.

Platforms

Badger Maps supports Android, iOS, web, and API. Native mobile apps make it relevant to reps working in the field, while the web app’s internet requirement limits its usefulness where connectivity is unreliable.

Who it's for

Choose Badger Maps if a field-sales team needs customer records on a map, routes capped at 120 stops, and CRM connections within one workflow. It is also relevant to sales operations teams managing territories and lead capture. Check the required CRM objects, seat or territory minimums, and internet access before committing. It is a weaker fit for teams that need offline app access or need a free plan beyond the 14-day Personal period.

Pros and cons

Pro: Route optimization handles up to 120 stops and incorporates live traffic, useful for reps planning dense visit schedules.
Pro: Customer filters, colorized records, and geographic map layers support territory-aware visit planning.
Pro: Native connections cover a broad set of named CRMs, with FTP, REST API, and Zapier options for other systems.
Con: Standard CRM integration is limited to Accounts or Contacts and one related Task or Activity; broader object relationships require Advanced integration.
Con: The app’s features require internet access; prepared Google Maps can preserve navigation on a current route, not offline Badger Maps functionality.
Con: Several specialist plans require at least five licenses or territories, which may rule them out for smaller teams.

Alternatives

SalesRabbit Appointment Management is worth considering for a freemium option with a single-user Lite plan, though that tier has limited core features and no full team management.

RepZio is another freemium option; its Basic sales rep license provides web access but excludes the iOS app and several sales functions.

Field SFA is a paid alternative for teams comparing field-sales software across Android, iOS, and web.

FieldFlowSales is an option for teams comparing agent-based routing and visit tracking plans, including a Starter tier for up to 10 agents.

Outfield is a paid alternative with a free trial and Android, iOS, and web support.

BeatRoute is a paid option for teams seeking territory and channel partner management, GPS-based market coverage, and order collection.

Map My Customers is an alternative for teams considering a paid plan with 50,000 records and a five-user minimum at its Industry Leader tier.

RepMove is a paid alternative with a free trial and a Flex plan for individual users that includes route planning and account/contact management.

Verdict

Badger Maps is a strong match for B2B field-sales teams that need routing, customer mapping, and CRM connections in a mobile-first workflow. Its breadth of CRM options and 120-stop route capacity are the clearest reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if offline app use is essential, if the required CRM relationships exceed the selected integration tier, or if the plan’s seat and territory minimums do not fit the team.
