Overview

Book projects can cover novels and storybooks as well as coloring books, journals, cookbooks, workbooks, and puzzle books. Outlining, a chapter workspace, continuity tools, and rewrite controls support the work from structure through revision. That range is a practical advantage for creators producing varied formats; authors seeking only a focused fiction-writing tool may not need the broader production workflow.

Automateed exports PDF, EPUB, and DOCX files for review before upload. Authors can prepare a listing for marketplace review or publish through their own accounts, including upload to Kindle or Google Play. The service also describes tools for audiobooks, courses, author websites, sales funnels, email lists, and paperback offers, extending its appeal to creators building a wider publishing business.

Key features

Production and publishing

Keeping planning, drafting, editing, design, and export together can reduce handoffs between stages. The export formats leave authors with files they can inspect and upload themselves, while marketplace review offers another route. Payout options named by the service include Stripe, PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, or bank details. AI-generated text still needs editorial scrutiny: Automateed warns that it can contain factual errors or inconsistencies, so it should not be treated as publication-ready without review.

Mobile and data handling

iOS and Android apps sync projects across devices, alongside web access. Prompts and content needed for generation may be sent to specialist providers; Automateed says private manuscripts and project content are not sold. Its privacy policy describes administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, while acknowledging that no internet service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Paid plans include help-center guides and email support.

Pricing

Automateed has a free plan, a free trial, and a limited workflow preview. Free access allows an ebook to be previewed online, but it does not provide the production allowances of the paid plans. The paid lifetime plans are one-time payments with monthly credits that reset, so “lifetime” does not mean unlimited monthly output:

Entry Lifetime: 149.00 USD per once; 4 eBooks, 40 images, and 100 tasks per month. The lowest-cost paid option suits modest output, but its quotas may constrain a regular publishing schedule.
Standard Lifetime: 239.00 USD per once; 8 eBooks, 80 images, and 200 tasks per month. It doubles Entry’s allowances for creators with a larger monthly workload.
Pro Lifetime: 299.00 USD per once; 12 eBooks, 120 images, and 300 tasks per month. This raises the monthly ceiling for frequent production without a major jump from Standard’s listed allowances.
Elite Lifetime: 997.00 USD per once; 100 eBooks, 1,000 images, and 10k tasks per month. Its much higher quotas target high-volume production, rather than an occasional author.

Extra credits and author website hosting may cost separately, so the one-time payment does not necessarily cover every ongoing need. Choose a tier by expected monthly output and account for those possible add-ons.

Platforms

Automateed is available on web, iOS, and Android, with projects syncing across devices. That combination suits writers who move between desktop and mobile work.

Who it's for

Authors, self-publishers, educators, course creators, content creators, agencies, and small businesses are among its intended users. It is strongest for people who can use multiple book formats, exports, and adjacent creator tools; a writer who wants only fiction-focused drafting may prefer a narrower alternative.

Pros and cons

Pro: One workflow covers planning through export across fiction and practical book formats, useful for creators with varied projects.
Pro: PDF, EPUB, and DOCX exports support review and independent publishing workflows.
Con: Monthly quotas reset even on lifetime plans, and extra credits or website hosting may add costs.
Con: Generated content requires fact-checking and editing before publication.
Con: Generation can involve sending prompts and project content to specialist providers, which may not suit authors unwilling to share manuscript material for processing.

Alternatives

For a fiction-centered option with a free tier, Jenova Creative Fiction Writer offers limited free usage, with Plus at 20.00 USD per month and Premium at 50.00 USD; choose it when its fiction focus and usage-based paid tiers suit better than Automateed’s book-production quotas. NovelAI is a paid service with a free trial and a Paper trial tier that includes 30 image generations, 50 text generations, and 100 text-to-speech generations; consider it if those trial allowances are the relevant starting point.

Novelcrafter offers paid plans from 4.00 USD per month, including unlimited books, series and universes, and basic review features on Scribe; it may fit writers prioritizing series organization. Sudowrite has no free plan and offers a trial; its Hobby & Student plan is 10.00 USD per month for 225,000 credits, which may suit writers who prefer a monthly credit allowance.

AIWriteBook Audiobook Studio has a free tier with 100 credits, about 12 pages, an outline, and a first chapter; it is worth considering for a limited initial workflow. BookBud.ai offers 25,000 signup credits on its free plan, enough to start a book, make a cover, and draft early chapters, making it a useful alternative for a free start. Bookwiz includes up to three books, eight fast AI prompts, 30 daily inline autocompletes, and several publishing formats on its free plan; it may appeal to authors wanting those capped free tools. DeepQuill is a desktop application for macOS and Windows with a free open beta; choose it if a desktop-only option is the priority.

Verdict

Automateed is a strong fit for creators who want one platform for varied book formats, production stages, exports, and adjacent publishing tools. Its central advantage is breadth; its central drawback is that monthly quotas and potential add-on costs remain relevant even after a lifetime purchase. Authors with modest or specialized needs should compare focused writing alternatives before committing.
