Overview

Auctria is an event fundraising platform for organizations running auctions and related campaigns, from donation intake through bidding and receipts. It is best suited to teams that want event websites, auction formats, payment recording, and reporting in one system. Its broad event toolkit is appealing, but the right plan depends on bidder and income ceilings as well as transaction fees.

Events can use a template or customized core template with branding, images, and video. Auctions may be live, silent, or online, with raffles, ticket sales, sponsorships, paddle raises, and mobile bidding alongside them. Auctria says it has operated since 2011 and helped organizations raise more than $1.75 billion.

Although Auctria is built with nonprofit fundraising in mind, nonprofit status is not required. Compare it with Charity Auction Software, Fundraising Event Software, and Auction Software.

Key features

Event operations and payments

Stripe and Authorize.Net integrations handle card payments, while staff can also record cash and check transactions. The optional Admin app supports guest check-in, card and tap-to-pay checkout, and recording sales and bids. That can help teams manage event-night work in the same fundraising workflow; however, paid-plan card fees remain a cost to account for, in addition to any payment processing.

Reporting and connections

More than 100 customizable report templates and filters give organizers options for reviewing event activity, and Auctria says event data can be exported for CRM use. Spreadsheet import and export support bulk transfers. Automations uses Zapier for event-triggered notifications to services such as Slack, Gmail, and Google Calendar, which is useful for connecting notifications without replacing those tools.

Bidder app and security

The optional Bidder app provides mobile bidding and alerts. Auctria says card details stay with the connected payment processor and that it retains a secure token rather than full card numbers. It also says the platform supports PCI DSS v4.0 responsibilities and enforces TLS, multifactor authentication, password complexity, lockout, and session timeout.

Texting is limited to the United States and Canada. Paid plans include an initial block of texts, with additional texts available for purchase, so organizations expecting heavier messaging should account for that separately.

Pricing

Auctria uses a freemium model. Every plan includes support, but Explorer receives chat and email support while Emerald and Diamond include priority chat and email. The free tier's caps make it a practical starting point for smaller events, not a no-limits option.

Plan	Price	Limits and terms
Explorer	0.00 USD per free (billed FREE Per Year)	$10,000 total income per year, 250 bidders per event, 3 team members, unlimited events, and a 1% credit card fee.
Emerald	375.00 USD per year (billed $375 per year)	$50,000 total income per year, 750 bidders per event, 10 team members, unlimited events, and a 0.5% credit card fee.
Diamond	750.00 USD per year (billed $750 per year)	Unlimited income tracking per year, 1,000 bidders per event, 99 team members, unlimited events, and a 0.25% credit card fee.

Explorer gives small teams room to run unlimited events, but its income ceiling, 250-bidder cap, and three seats can constrain a growing fundraiser; its 1% card fee is also higher than the paid subscriptions. Emerald is the step up for organizations needing more income capacity, bidders, or staff, while lowering that fee. Diamond removes the annual income-tracking ceiling, raises the event cap to 1,000 bidders, and allows a much larger team, in exchange for a higher subscription.

Optional assistance is sold separately: Assist 20 costs 49.95 USD per once (billed $49.95 per call) for one scheduled 20-minute Zoom call; Assist 45 costs 99.95 USD per once (billed $99.95 per call) for one scheduled 45-minute call. Launch Foundation costs 499.00 USD per once (billed +$499 per event) for assisted setup for one event, and Launch Advantage costs 749.00 USD per once (billed +$749 per event) for guest management up to 250 guests. Both require an active Emerald or Diamond subscription. Launch Premier offers customized ticket management for more than 250 guests, requires an active Emerald or Diamond subscription, and has custom pricing.

Platforms

Auctria supports Android, iOS, and web. The Admin and Bidder apps are optional, so mobile-app use is not a requirement for organizations operating through the web platform.

Who it's for

Auctria suits nonprofit and other organizations that need to coordinate auctions with broader event fundraising, especially when ticketing, event websites, reporting, and multiple payment types matter. Explorer may fit a small event team within its income and bidder caps. Larger teams or busier events should weigh Emerald or Diamond against their expected attendance, income, and staffing needs. It is less compelling for an event that needs only a narrowly focused auction tool or will quickly outgrow Explorer's limits.

Pros and cons

Pros: Supports live, silent, and online auctions alongside tickets, raffles, sponsorships, and paddle raises, reducing the need to split those event activities across tools.
Pros: More than 100 customizable report templates, CRM export, and Zapier-based notifications give organizers practical options for reporting and connecting event activity.
Pros: Unlimited events across Explorer, Emerald, and Diamond lets organizations run multiple events without an event-count cap.
Cons: Explorer's $10,000 annual income, 250-bidder, and three-team-member limits can make the free tier unsuitable as an organization grows.
Cons: Credit card fees vary by subscription—1% on Explorer, 0.5% on Emerald, and 0.25% on Diamond—so the subscription price is not the only cost to compare.
Cons: Launch services require an active Emerald or Diamond subscription, limiting access to those setup and guest-management options for Explorer users.

Alternatives

Choose BiddingOwl if its free service for event setup, item previews, and printed bids better matches a silent or live auction need. BidPal is a paid alternative for readers considering an enterprise plan that includes Event Ambassador Fundraising, Event Series, and Sponsorship Invoicing, though API support is not included in that plan.

Kanonu Events may suit organizers who prefer per-registration pricing paid by attendees at checkout: its listed price is 30.99 USD per once, with card processing separately charged at 2.9% + 30¢, also covered by the attendee. For other paid options, compare Handbid, GiveBid, and PaddleUp.

Event.Gives is worth considering for readers who want a free plan with event success coaching, registration, check-in, mobile bidding, ticketing, and donations. 32auctions may fit a small online-only auction: its free plan allows up to 20 items, one image per item, unlimited bidders, and basic donor management, but includes third-party ads.

Verdict

Auctria is a strong fit for organizations that want auction bidding, event fundraising, reporting, and event operations together, with a free tier for smaller programs and paid tiers that raise income, bidder, and team limits. Choose it when that breadth matters and its plan-specific caps and card fees fit your events. Look elsewhere if you need a more narrowly scoped tool or cannot make the subscription and transaction-fee tradeoffs work.
