Overview

Any.do brings to-do lists, reminders, and calendar planning together for individuals, families, and teams. It suits people who want a free personal planner or need shared spaces for household or work tasks, though several useful reminder features sit behind paid plans.

Key features

Tasks and planning

The free Personal plan includes tasks, lists, subtasks, a daily planner, calendar, and device sync, with no cap on personal tasks, lists, subtasks, or Grocery Lists. That makes it a substantial starting point for individual planning. Recurring tasks are supported, but the listed Personal features do not include them, so users who rely on repeat schedules may need a paid plan.

Reminders and integrations

Any.do supports time-based, location-based, and recurring reminders, alongside calendar sync. Premium adds recurring tasks, WhatsApp reminders, AI-powered features, color tags, and location reminders. Those additions are most relevant to people who want more than basic alerts; the free plan already includes reminders, but does not promise these specific capabilities.

Any.do connects with more than 6,000 apps for work automation. Named integrations include WhatsApp, Gmail, Slack, Zapier, Siri, Jira, Trello, and Google Drive. That breadth can make it a better fit for users coordinating tasks across existing services than a standalone list app.

Shared work

Family provides a shared space for four members, groceries, and up to four shared projects, with no additional member cost under the family plans. Teams offers collaborative workspaces, unlimited project boards, unlimited team members, and more than 100 workflow templates. Workspace and board admins can control access, permissions, and private boards; Teams users also get 24/7 support from AI agents and the customer support team. These tools make Any.do more capable for coordination than its personal-plan positioning alone suggests.

Pricing

Personal costs 0.00 USD per free and is free forever with no credit card required. It includes unlimited personal tasks and lists, while the free feature set also covers reminders, calendar, daily planning, device sync, unlimited subtasks, and Grocery Lists. It is the clearest choice for individual users who do not need paid reminder options or shared-plan features.

Premium annual costs 4.99 USD per month, billed annually; Premium monthly costs 7.99 USD per month, billed monthly. Both add recurring tasks, WhatsApp reminders, AI-powered features, color tags, and location reminders. The annual rate lowers the monthly price but commits the buyer to annual billing; the monthly plan costs more per month and can be cancelled anytime with no commitments. Premium plans offer free trial periods before payment.

Teams annual costs 4.99 USD per month per member, billed annually; Teams monthly costs 7.99 USD per month per member, billed monthly. Both provide unlimited boards and members, collaborative workspaces, and more than 100 workflow templates. Teams offers a full 14-day trial with no hidden charges, and the team can invite members for free during the trial. The per-member charge makes the annual rate cheaper for an ongoing workspace, while monthly billing avoids an annual commitment.

Family annual costs 8.33 USD per month for four members, billed annually; Family monthly costs 9.99 USD per month for four members, billed monthly. Both include the four-member shared plan and no additional member cost. It is a straightforward option for a household of up to four, but is not priced for larger family groups.

Purchases may be refunded subject to the terms of service. The free plan's broad personal task allowance is a meaningful advantage, but users who want recurring tasks or location reminders must weigh the paid-plan cost.

Platforms

Any.do supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows, with a Chrome extension. Apps and extensions are also offered for Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Gmail. Offline access is supported on web and mobile, which helps users keep planning when a connection is unavailable.

Who it's for

Any.do is strongest for individuals who want a no-cost hub for tasks, lists, reminders, and calendar planning, and for households or teams that need shared workspaces. Family is tailored to four members; Teams suits organizations that need uncapped membership, board controls, and workflow templates. It is a weaker fit for people who need paid capabilities but want a published price before choosing: pricing for the standalone Premium, Family, and Teams plan entries is custom pricing, while the annual and monthly options above have stated rates.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free Personal plan allows unlimited tasks, lists, subtasks, and Grocery Lists, so individual users can keep a large task backlog without a quota forcing an upgrade.
Pro: Family and Teams plans add concrete sharing structures, from a four-person household space to unlimited team membership and boards.
Pro: Support across desktop, mobile, browser extensions, and offline web and mobile access gives users several ways to reach their plans.
Con: Recurring tasks and location reminders are paid Premium features, limiting the free tier for people whose planning depends on those tools.
Con: Teams billing is per member, so its price grows with the team even though membership is not capped.
Con: Family is limited to four members and up to four shared projects, a constraint for larger households or more elaborate shared planning.

Alternatives

For a free task planner with a small set of automation and AI allowances, Routine includes three integrations, three custom databases, and 250 AI credits in its free plan; Any.do is the stronger fit for unlimited personal tasks and lists, reminders, and calendar planning.

FlowSavvy may suit users focused on auto-scheduling, with its Basic plan specifying three repeating auto-scheduled tasks, five task lists, and a two-week scheduling range. Choose Any.do instead when shared family or team spaces matter more.

Ganttic is worth considering for resource planning: its free plan includes up to 10 resources, unlimited users and projects, Gantt charts, reports, and Kanban boards. Any.do is more oriented to personal planning and household or team task sharing.

Taskade AI Agents offers a free tier with two users, 6,000 one-time credits, up to three apps, and one AI agent; it may be a better starting point for readers prioritizing those AI-agent allowances.

TickTick gives free users basic task, reminder, sync, and list features, with limits of nine lists and 99 tasks per list. Any.do's unlimited personal tasks and lists are preferable when those caps would be restrictive.

Paymo is an alternative for a solo user who needs client and project organization, with its free plan limited to one user, one client, two projects, and 1 GB of storage.

Planview AdaptiveWork is another option for readers comparing paid project software; its pricing is available by contacting an account executive.

Todoist has a free Beginner plan for organizing life, with five personal projects, three filter views, and one week of activity history. Any.do allows unlimited personal tasks and lists on its free tier; Todoist may suit readers whose needs fit within its project and view limits.

Verdict

Any.do is a strong choice for individuals who want a genuinely roomy free task-and-calendar planner, and for families or teams that want built-in shared spaces. Its broad platform support and generous personal limits are compelling; look elsewhere if recurring or location reminders are essential but the paid upgrade is not worthwhile, or if a four-person Family plan is too small.
