Overview

Animaze combines avatar editing and tracking with recording and connections to streaming and meeting services. Webcam and iPhone tracking provide accessible starting points, while support for additional trackers and imported models can serve more involved creator workflows. Businesses can also consider its app-development offering, though 2D avatars may require a separate commercial license.

Key features

Animaze accepts Live2D, VRM, Ready Player Me, and Union Avatars models. Artist documentation also covers GLB/GLTF and FBX, and the PC Avatar Editor lets users test models made in Live2D or a 3D modeling tool before exporting them for Animaze. That breadth is useful for creators who already have character assets; it makes Animaze less dependent on building a workflow around a single model source.

Tracking can use a webcam or iPhone, with additional support for Leap Motion, audio-based lip trackers, and Tobii eye trackers. Lip sync, full-body and hand tracking, virtual camera output, and recording—including webcam recording—round out the workflow. These options give creators room to match their setup to their equipment, though the Pro plan limits editable Holotech Originals content to 2 avatars, 5 accessories, 2 backgrounds, and 3 emotes.

Connections include OBS, Streamlabs, Discord, Zoom, Google Meet, Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook Gaming, spanning broadcasts and video calls. For app developers, the Enterprise SDK provides cross-platform APIs for adding interactive digital characters to iOS, Android, or PC apps. That makes the enterprise offering relevant beyond individual streamers, but it is a tailored company solution rather than a standard-priced creator plan.

The EEA privacy policy says camera images and facial tracking data are used at runtime and are not collected, recorded, or stored by the company. FAQ, documentation, and contact support are provided; business plans add fast-track support.

Pricing

Animaze has a free plan and paid options. The Basic plan costs custom pricing and includes 80+ free items. It is the entry point for users who want included content without choosing a paid tier, but it does not promise the paid features described for Plus or Pro.

Plus costs 3.99 USD per month, billed $47.88/year. It removes the watermark and adds Animaze Original content, 60 FPS streaming, a dedicated capture window, and MP4 video export. It fits creators who need cleaner output and recording features without Pro's specified editable-content allotment. Pro costs 9.99 USD per month, billed $119.88/year, and includes 2 avatars, 5 accessories, 2 backgrounds, and 3 emotes. That defined set may suit a creator whose needs fit within those limits; users wanting more editable Originals should look carefully at the cap.

Small Business costs 499.99 USD per year, billed $499.99, for businesses generating less than $175,000. Business Plus costs 1699.99 USD per year, billed $1699.99, for businesses generating more than $175,000. Both include fast-track support, watermark removal, 60 FPS, MP4 export, and paid content access. For business use of 2D avatars, both require a separate Live2D commercial license, an extra licensing consideration beyond the Animaze plan.

Enterprise uses custom pricing and offers a tailored company solution, commercial rights, IP protection tools, bespoke engineering, and the SDK. It is the plan to consider for app integration or tailored business needs, rather than a fixed-feature individual subscription. The advertised paid-from price is 1.67 /mo (annual); compare the named plan prices and their included features against your actual use before choosing.

Platforms

Animaze is listed for Android, iOS, and Windows, and its enterprise APIs target iOS, Android, or PC apps. The broad stated platform reach suits creators and developers working across mobile and desktop, while the PC Avatar Editor is specifically part of the avatar workflow.

Who it's for

Animaze is a strong fit for streamers, YouTubers, VTubers, artists, and creatives who want to import existing characters, choose among tracking methods, and connect to common streaming or meeting services. Businesses may find the business plans and Enterprise SDK more relevant, especially when they need commercial rights or app integration. It is less compelling for someone whose priority is a large, unrestricted allowance of editable Originals, or a business using 2D avatars that does not want to arrange separate Live2D licensing.

Pros and cons

Pro: Broad model import support, including Live2D and several 3D formats, helps users bring existing avatar assets into the workflow.
Pro: Webcam, iPhone, and specialist tracker support gives creators multiple ways to animate characters.
Pro: Streaming, meeting, and video-export connections cover both live use and recorded output.
Con: Pro limits editable Holotech Originals to 2 avatars, 5 accessories, 2 backgrounds, and 3 emotes, constraining users who want to customize more of that content.
Con: Business plans require a separate Live2D commercial license for 2D avatars, adding a licensing dependency.
Con: The fixed annual business prices are substantially different from creator subscriptions, so businesses need to match the revenue bracket and included rights to their use.

Verdict

Choose Animaze if you want an adaptable avatar workflow that pairs broad model imports and tracking choices with streaming, meeting, and recording connections. Creators should weigh the paid feature tiers against the Pro content cap; businesses should account for revenue-based plan pricing and separate Live2D licensing for 2D avatars. Look elsewhere if those limits or licensing terms do not fit your workflow.
