Overview

It suits people making explainers, training material, and business communications who want generation, editing, and team workflows in one product. Its breadth is appealing, but the free exports are watermarked and the most useful paid quotas start above the advertised $15 annual-billing entry point.

Key features

Prompt-to-video is one route into the editor, not the whole product: users can review and revise generated videos, while 2D and whiteboard animation tools, a character builder, AI infographics, and AI asset generation support more deliberate production. That mix should suit teams that need varied visual formats; it may be more than needed for someone seeking only a focused drawing or animation app.

Production support extends to subtitle generation, translation, and AI voiceovers, with automatic lip sync. Animaker describes a voice library of more than 1,000 voices in over 100 languages, a useful range for multilingual projects. More than 1,000 templates and a Brand Kit help establish a repeatable look, and real-time collaboration supports shared work.

Finished work can be downloaded as MP4, GIF, or WebM, at resolutions from SD through 4K. The Ultra Gen API uses RESTful, JSON-based endpoints to integrate video generation into web and mobile apps. Animaker also offers direct YouTube publishing. Its enterprise collaboration tools include dedicated seats, real-time comments, task assignments, a company-wide resource library, and admin controls.

Animaker states that it is ISO 27001:2022 certified, follows GDPR and CCPA processes, and encrypts data in transit and at rest. Tutorials, FAQs, training, and a contact option provide support routes.

Pricing

Animaker has a free plan, paid plans, and a 7-day trial. The free tier allows downloads, but those exports carry an Animaker watermark and premium assets are limited; it is best for exploring the workflow, not delivering polished, unbranded work.

Plan	Price and terms	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	Basic animation tools, limited premium assets, watermarked exports.
Basic	Custom pricing	1,500 AI video credits and 50 Gen AI asset credits per month, 5 premium downloads per month, and videos up to 5 minutes.
Starter	45.00 USD per month, billed Pay monthly	3,000 AI video credits, 10 premium downloads, 90 seconds of generative video, and 200 Gen AI asset credits per month; videos up to 15 minutes.
Pro	79.00 USD per month, billed Pay monthly	5,000 AI video credits, 30 premium downloads, 180 seconds of generative video, and 300 Gen AI asset credits per month; videos up to 30 minutes.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Unlimited premium downloads, 6,000 seconds of generative video and 5,000 Gen AI asset credits per year, with unlimited video length.

Basic is the lower-quota paid option for shorter videos; its price is custom. Starter and Pro charge monthly and offer progressively larger generation, asset, and download allowances, with Pro also doubling the maximum video length. Enterprise is aimed at organizations that need unlimited video length and team administration, though its generative-video and asset quotas remain annual. The pricing note gives paid plans from $15/mo (annual), while the named Starter and Pro plans above are monthly-billed at higher prices; compare the applicable term and quotas before choosing.

Platforms

Animaker is web-based and offers iOS and Android apps for creating animated videos on mobile devices. The service also provides an API for integrating video generation into web and mobile apps.

Who it's for

Individuals and educators can use the templates and animation tools for explainers and learning materials; businesses can apply the same mix to L&D, HR, marketing and sales, or internal communications. Enterprise collaboration features are more relevant to teams coordinating production than to solo creators. Choose another tool if you need a dedicated hand-drawn animation workflow rather than prompt-based video and broad production tools.

Pros and cons

Pro: Prompt generation sits alongside editing, animation, asset, voice, and subtitle tools, so projects can move through several production steps in one service.
Pro: Collaboration, a Brand Kit, templates, and enterprise administration address shared business production needs.
Con: The free plan's watermark and limited premium assets make it a poor fit for final client-facing exports.
Con: Paid plan quotas cap premium downloads and generative-video time; even Enterprise sets annual generation and asset limits.
Con: The $15/mo annual-billing starting price does not match the higher monthly-billed Starter and Pro prices, so the plan term matters when budgeting.

Verdict

Animaker is a strong fit for individuals, educators, and business teams who want one service for prompt-led video, animation, localization, and collaboration. Its broad toolset and team features are the main reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if watermark-free exports on a free plan or an inexpensive, open-ended animation workflow are priorities; paid quotas and the monthly-versus-annual price distinction deserve close attention.
