Overview

Solvely is an AI study service that combines homework solving, course-material tools, lecture notes, and exam preparation. It suits students who want to turn questions and class materials into explanations and practice; its main drawback is that AI-generated answers still require checking.

Its breadth is the appeal: students can start with a scanned problem, uploaded notes, or lecture recording and use the same service to study. That makes Solvely a stronger fit for ongoing coursework than for someone seeking only a single-purpose citation or math tool.

Key features

Homework help and explanations

The solver accepts typed questions, photos, and PDFs, and provides worked, step-by-step solutions across subjects. Cross-checking with multiple AI models and visual or video explanations—including 3D geometry, calculus graphs, and physics simulations—can help explain a method rather than simply supply an answer. Still, model cross-checking is not a guarantee of correctness: Solvely advises users to verify outputs and does not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or suitability.

The Android and iOS apps scan math, physics, and chemistry problems and explain college math questions. That makes the mobile apps useful for working from a problem image, although the stated scanning coverage is narrower than Solvely’s broad overall subject coverage.

Study and exam preparation

Slides, PDFs, and YouTube links can be converted into topic breakdowns, study guides, flashcards, and adaptive quizzes. Users can also submit notes and past exams to generate likely-topic predictions, mock exams, cheat sheets, and review plans. The range helps turn existing course materials into practice; topic predictions should inform revision rather than replace course guidance.

Lecture notes and browser access

Live recording creates searchable transcripts, AI-generated notes, and study sets from lectures. This can be useful for students who want to revisit material and build revision resources from a lecture, though the privacy policy says security safeguards are commercially reasonable rather than absolute and mentions security audits for transcription data.

The Chrome extension captures screenshots of questions on Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Google Classroom, and other websites. It is free to install, but some features or higher usage limits may depend on the account or plan. Solvely also states that it offers 24/7 support for the extension.

Pricing

Solvely uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a free trial. The Free plan is a way to start without a paid commitment, but no usage cap is stated for it, so the practical boundary between free and paid use is not clear. The extension is free to install, but account or plan terms may affect features and higher usage.

Solvely.AI NPro-Weekly: custom pricing.
Solvely.AI Pro-Monthly: custom pricing.
Solvely All Year Access: custom pricing.
Solvely Unlimited — 12 months: 4.83 USD per year, billed $57.99/year, with a 3-day free trial. Includes unlimited models and features; cancel anytime. This is the lowest stated annualized rate, but requires an annual payment after the trial.
Solvely Unlimited — 1 month: 8.99 USD per month, billed $8.99 monthly. Includes unlimited models and features, with monthly billing rather than a longer commitment.
Solvely Unlimited — 3 months: 11.66 USD per month, billed $34.99 every 3 months. Includes unlimited models and features; it costs more per month than the annual option while committing to a three-month billing period.

The Unlimited plans are the clearest fit for students who need unrestricted model and feature access. The monthly option avoids a longer billing commitment; the annual plan has the lowest stated monthly equivalent but renews as a yearly charge. A 3-day trial is stated for the annual plan only.

Platforms

Solvely is available on Android, iOS, the web, and as a browser extension. The extension is for Chrome; its screenshots can be used on learning-management and classroom sites including Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and Google Classroom.

Who it's for

Solvely is aimed at post-secondary, college-bound, and professional learners, not children under 13. It is best for students who regularly move between homework questions, course documents, lectures, and exam revision. Learners who need dependable final answers without checking them, or who only need one narrow study function, may prefer a more focused tool.

Pros and cons

Pros

One service spans several study tasks: homework solutions, study-material creation, lecture notes, and exam practice reduce the need to switch among separate tools.
Multiple input formats: typed questions, photos, PDFs, slides, and YouTube links let students work from the materials they already have.
Explanations go beyond text answers: step-by-step work, model cross-checking, and visual or video explanations can help with understanding difficult topics.
Flexible access: web, Android, iOS, and a Chrome extension support both mobile problem scanning and browser-based study.

Cons

Answers need independent verification: Solvely disclaims guaranteed accuracy, completeness, and suitability, limiting its value as a source to trust without review.
Free-use boundaries are unclear: no free-plan quota is stated, and extension capabilities or higher usage may depend on an account or plan.
Paid terms vary in commitment: the annual option has the lowest stated monthly equivalent but bills $57.99/year, while the three-month option bills $34.99 every 3 months.
Security is not absolute: the privacy policy describes commercially reasonable safeguards and explicitly cannot guarantee absolute security.

Verdict

Solvely is a strong choice for college and college-bound students who want one service for scanned homework, course-material conversion, lecture notes, and exam practice. Its range and cross-platform access are the main reasons to choose it; look elsewhere if you need answers you can rely on without verification, or if you want predictable free-use limits before signing up.
