Overview

AppClose is a co-parenting platform for coordinating communication, parenting schedules, expenses, payments and records. It is a strong fit for parents who want shared logistics and a durable communication record, but less suitable for anyone outside the U.S. who needs certified business-record exports.

Its broad toolkit can reduce the need to juggle separate services, and Solo mode gives a parent a way to send requests and updates to someone who has not joined. The trade-off is a paid service for full access, with a free account reserved for financial hardship and domestic-violence survivors.

Key features

Messages are time-stamped, encrypted, permanent and unalterable; users can search and export conversations. That permanence is useful when parents need a retrievable record, though it makes AppClose a more formal place to communicate than an ordinary chat app.

With mutual consent, audio and video calls can be recorded, transcribed and securely stored without a call-count limit. This is useful for parents who want a record of conversations, but recording depends on both parties agreeing. Two-factor authentication, PIN or biometric lock-screen options and encryption provide additional security measures. AppClose says it does not sell user data to third parties and uses firewalls and access controls.

Parents can start from 15 schedule templates or create their own schedules and shared calendar events. Integrated ipayou supports reimbursements, child support and shared expenses, while expense tracking and document storage help keep financial and family records together. The combination is practical for households managing recurring logistics, rather than users seeking only a calendar or messaging tool.

AppClose Solo sends requests, events and expenses to non-users by text message or email while keeping a log. That is a meaningful option when one parent cannot or will not adopt the service. Attorneys, guardians ad litem, mediators and other professionals can also connect through AppClose Pro with appropriate consents.

Certified electronic business-record exports include a unique record ID and certification timestamp, a useful distinction for U.S. users who need formal records. Those exports are unavailable outside the United States. AppClose Web syncs communications, calendars, expenses and records with desktop or browser use, and the service is localized in eight languages, including English and Spanish. A U.S.-based support team with family-law experience may be particularly relevant when users need help navigating family-related workflows.

Pricing

The fee-waiver account costs 0.00 USD per free and is intended for people facing financial hardship and survivors of domestic violence. It is the route to consider when cost is a barrier, though it is not presented as a general free tier.

Monthly web costs 7.99 USD per month, billed monthly, and includes all features on app and web with no limits or extra payments. Monthly app costs 8.99 USD per month, also billed monthly, for all-inclusive access on mobile and web. For month-to-month subscribers, the web plan is the lower-priced option; the app plan costs more despite also including web access.

Prepaid choices lower the effective monthly cost in exchange for paying ahead. One Year Prepaid web costs 83.88 USD per year, billed prepaid annually, equivalent to $6.99 monthly; One Year app costs 98.99 USD per year, billed prepaid annually, approximately $8.25/month. Two Years Prepaid web costs 143.76 USD per year, billed every two years, equivalent to $5.99 monthly. The web prepaid plans include all features on app and web with no limits or extra payments; the app-branded annual plan provides full unlimited access on app and web. Choose prepaid only if the longer commitment and upfront payment suit your budget. A 60-day trial gives prospective users time to evaluate the service before paying.

Platforms

AppClose supports Android, iOS and web. Synced browser access makes it possible to manage co-parenting records from a desktop as well as a phone.

Who it's for

AppClose suits co-parents who need communication, schedules, money management and records in one place, particularly when documented exchanges or coordination with legal and family-support professionals matter. Solo mode also helps when the other party is not a user. It is a weaker fit for people who need certified exports outside the U.S., or who want a general-purpose family calendar without a formal record-keeping workflow.

Pros and cons

Pros: Permanent, searchable and exportable messages support a durable communication record.
Pros: Templates, custom schedules, expense tools and payments bring common co-parenting tasks into one service.
Pros: Solo mode can reach non-users by text or email while retaining a log.
Pros: Unlimited recorded-call count, subject to mutual consent, avoids a stated call quota.
Cons: Certified business-record exports are restricted to U.S. users, limiting their usefulness for international families.
Cons: The free account is specifically aimed at financial hardship and domestic-violence survivors, so other users should budget for a paid plan after the trial.
Cons: Prepaid plans require an upfront commitment, while monthly app costs more than monthly web despite both covering app and web access.

Verdict

Choose AppClose if you want co-parenting communication, scheduling, payments and records in one service, especially when you need Solo mode or professional connections. Its key reason to look elsewhere is the U.S.-only availability of certified record exports; compare monthly and prepaid terms carefully if you want full access beyond the trial.
