Overview

Alida is built for organizations that want to maintain research communities and draw on them for customer and employee feedback. Its strongest fit is a team running ongoing, varied research; occasional survey users may find its broad toolkit and quote-based buying process more than they need.

The platform brings audience management, mixed-method research, and insight analysis into one workflow. A fixed subscription with unlimited research activities and no per-participant fees is attractive for sustained programs, though buyers must request custom pricing to assess the cost.

Key features

Community research and feedback

Alida supports recruitment, profiling, segmentation, targeting, and engagement of research community members. Teams can gather quantitative and qualitative feedback through surveys, digital intercepts, discussion forums, video interviews, focus groups, and usability testing, using email, in-app, and web intercept channels. That range suits programs that need more than survey collection, but may be unnecessary for teams with a narrow or occasional feedback need.

Analysis and follow-through

Alida AI helps teams query, visualize, summarize, and share customer insights, and identify trends and opportunities. Sentiment analysis, trend and behavior analysis, automated text and video analysis, an AI reporting assistant, and a centralized data repository support analysis across feedback types. Closed-loop workflows help carry findings toward follow-up. Together, these capabilities can serve teams managing a continuing insight program; organizations seeking only a lightweight survey tool may not need this breadth.

Integrations, privacy, and support

The integration directory includes Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud, Tableau, Zendesk, Okta, Qualtrics, Slack, and Google Forms. Custom connectors can link insights with operational data, with setup requirements handled by contacting Alida. The platform describes encryption, regular audits, and compliance with SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA standards. Privacy features include double opt-in, customer control over collected and visible data, and customer-hosted privacy policies. Alida runs its products on AWS and logically segregates customer accounts, communities, and associated data in its multi-tenant platform.

The Help Center offers documentation, release notes, use-case articles, and online training. Technical support is available weekdays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time, a defined support window that teams should account for when planning assistance needs.

Pricing

Alida is paid software with custom pricing. Its Alida platform subscription includes unlimited surveys, usability tests, and research activities, uses fixed subscription-based pricing, and has no per-participant fees. That structure favors teams expecting frequent research or broad participation, since activity and participant counts do not create per-use charges. The trade-off is that buyers need a quote before they can judge whether the subscription fits their budget. No lower-cost plan is described.

Platforms

Alida supports Android, iOS, web, and API access, giving teams mobile and browser options alongside programmatic integration.

Who it's for

UX and product teams, researchers, and research operations teams are the natural audience, particularly when they need to govern a continuing program, understand customers, or inform product development. Teams that need a community-based research workflow plus varied collection and analysis methods have a stronger case for Alida than buyers seeking only a basic feedback channel.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited research activities and no per-participant fees make the fixed subscription well suited to sustained, high-volume programs.
Pros: Community management, mixed-method collection, AI-assisted analysis, and closed-loop workflows cover multiple stages of an insight program.
Pros: A broad integration directory and custom connector option can connect research insights with operational data.
Cons: Custom pricing requires a sales inquiry before buyers can compare the subscription with their budget.
Cons: The breadth of the platform may be excessive for teams that only run occasional surveys or have no need to manage a research community.
Cons: Technical support is limited to weekdays, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time.

Alternatives

Fullstory is worth considering for teams seeking a freemium option: its free plan includes 30,000 sessions, 10 user seats, 5,000 server-side events, and one year of session replay and product analytics retention.

Glassbox offers paid plans with defined monthly session and replay-retention limits, including 2 million sessions and one month of replay retention on Production Operation, and 3 million sessions with three months on Marketing/Business.

InMoment is another paid option available on Android, iOS, and web.

Qualtrics may suit individuals who want a free survey plan capped at one user, three active surveys, 30 questions per survey, and 500 total responses.

Contentsquare has a free plan with 10,000 monthly sessions and seven months of data access, plus a Growth tier with 17,000–80,000 monthly sessions and 13 months of access.

QuestionPro is a freemium alternative; its free Essentials plan allows one user, 200 responses per survey, and 30 question types, while Advanced costs 99.00 USD per month, billed annually.

Chattermill is a paid alternative with custom pricing.

Level AI Contact Center Analytics is a paid alternative that requires scheduling a demo.

Verdict

Choose Alida if your organization needs an ongoing research-community program with diverse feedback methods, analysis, and follow-through under a fixed subscription without per-participant fees. Its main advantage is that breadth paired with unlimited research activity; its main drawback is that custom pricing makes the commitment difficult to evaluate before contacting sales. Teams with occasional or survey-only needs should look for a narrower option.
