Overview

AI Tutor is a multi-subject learning app for students who want help with homeschool or independent study. It is best suited to families looking for guided lessons and a way to keep track of linked children’s study activity, though the free allowance is small.

Students can ask questions by voice or chat and work through learning paths adapted to their age, grade, and level. Worksheets, quizzes, and progress review make it more than a question-and-answer tool, but students under 13 cannot use an account.

Key features

Guided study across subjects

Voice and chat tutoring offer two ways to ask for help, while learning paths adapt to the student’s age, grade, and level. That flexibility suits independent learners who need support across subjects rather than practice in one narrow skill. The app also accepts worksheet and study-material uploads, provides an interactive drawing canvas, and gives instant quiz feedback. Progress review can help students revisit their work, though no particular reporting depth or learning outcome is promised.

Family oversight and language support

Parents can create child accounts and see studied topics and recent quizzes in a dashboard. Linked children can share a purchased plan’s hours, quizzes, and materials, which may suit families better than separate allowances; sharing also means family members draw on the same pool. The tutor supports Arabic, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, and Persian, with a right-to-left interface for languages that use it.

Privacy and age limits

Lesson content is processed by AI providers, which are asked to use it to provide the service rather than for advertising sales. The privacy policy describes encryption in transit and access controls, says data may be processed outside the user’s country, and says personal information is not sold. These safeguards may matter to families sharing children’s study material, but the account age limit is 13 and older, including parent-created child accounts; the company says it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Email support is available, with replies usually within one business day. AI Tutor is provided by IT Source One, headquartered in Amman, Jordan.

Pricing

AI Tutor is freemium. Prices for paid options appear in the App Store or Google Play and vary by country, so paid plans have custom pricing here.

Plan	Allowance	Terms
Starter	0.00 USD per free; 30 minutes, 1 quiz, and 1 material upload	Free monthly allowance
Study	Custom pricing; 15 study hours, 30 quizzes, and 25 material uploads	1-month auto-renewing; monthly credits do not roll over
Scholar	Custom pricing; 24 study hours, 30 quizzes, and 35 material uploads	1-month auto-renewing; monthly credits do not roll over
Quick Boost	Custom pricing; 1 study hour, 1 quiz, and 2 material uploads	Top-up; unused hours remain until used
Study Pack	Custom pricing; 5 study hours, 10 quizzes, and 5 material uploads	Top-up; unused hours remain until used
Power Pack	Custom pricing; 10 study hours, 20 quizzes, and 12 material uploads	Top-up; unused hours remain until used

Starter is enough to sample a short session, but 30 minutes and one quiz or upload make it a poor fit for ongoing study. Study offers a lower monthly workload than Scholar; Scholar adds nine hours and ten uploads while keeping the same 30-quiz cap. Both subscriptions renew monthly and unused credits expire, so they suit families able to use their allowance within the month. Top-ups are more flexible for occasional extra work because unused hours stay available, but each pack has its own limited quiz and upload allotment.

Platforms

AI Tutor is available on Android and iOS. Google Play identifies the Android app as including in-app purchases.

Who it's for

AI Tutor is a reasonable choice for students aged 13 or older who need multi-subject help, and for parents who want visibility into recent quizzes and topics across linked children. Its language range and voice tutoring broaden its usefulness for multilingual households. Look elsewhere if the student is under 13, if a small free allowance cannot support the intended routine, or if a family needs monthly credits to roll over.

Pros and cons

Pro: Voice and chat tutoring, level-adapted paths, uploads, drawing, quizzes, and progress review support several stages of independent study in one app.
Pro: Parents can review topics and recent quizzes, and linked children can share a purchased plan’s allowances.
Pro: Eight supported languages include Arabic and Persian, with right-to-left interface support.
Con: Starter’s 30 minutes, one quiz, and one upload are too limited for sustained study.
Con: Study and Scholar credits expire monthly, making unused allowance a poor fit for irregular study schedules.
Con: Accounts are restricted to users aged 13 and older, ruling out younger children despite the family features.

Alternatives

For language-focused practice, choose Langua, which offers a free plan, a free trial, and daily chat and Call Mode limits on its Standard option. Lucida AI is another freemium option on Android and iOS, with some features requiring a subscription.

Talkpal may suit readers seeking AI language practice, with a free Basic Plan capped at 10 minutes daily and a paid option described as offering unlimited practice. For pronunciation, ELSA Speak has a free tier covering the first two lessons of topics and an annual Premium plan at 159.99 USD per year. LINAOI offers five free lessons per day and an annual plan at 79.99 USD per year for unlimited lessons.

Synthesis Tutor is an alternative on iOS and web, with a free trial and a listed Individual Monthly price of 35.00 USD per month for one child. Langotalk is another freemium language-learning alternative. PomoSpeak is worth considering for readers comfortable with its 19.99 USD per month subscription or 39.99 USD per once three-month subscription.

Verdict

AI Tutor is best for students aged 13 and older who need broad study support and for families that value shared allowances and a parent dashboard. Its mix of tutoring, uploads, quizzes, and progress review is the main reason to choose it. Its tiny free cap, non-rolling monthly credits, and age floor are strong reasons to look elsewhere if study is occasional, younger children need accounts, or predictable paid pricing matters.
