What it is
Zoho eProtect is a web-based cloud email security gateway and archival service for organizations using cloud email providers or on-premise servers. It filters inbound and outbound messages for spam, viruses, phishing, ransomware, business email compromise, spoofing, attachment, URL, identity, and zero-day threats. Organizations can connect Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Amazon WorkMail, Microsoft Exchange, and other providers through API sync, MX changes, or journaling. Archiving tools include configurable retention, eDiscovery search, legal holds, and exports in EML, ZIP, or PST formats. Administrators can set quarantine controls, organize users into groups and departments, apply policies, and review audit logs. Zoho states that stored mail uses AES encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Security controls include two-factor authentication and storage in Zoho data centers under 24/7 surveillance. Pricing is provided on request. Zoho Mail users do not require eProtect because those protection and archival features are built into Zoho Mail.
