What it is
Union Waitlist is a guest and table management feature for bars and restaurants, designed to organize arrivals and seating and reduce long lines. While waiting, guests can track their place, view or save menu items, and open a tab by QR code or NFC. They can order from the bar, including pickup, and earn rewards. Staff can see guest names and collected notes, coordinate table assignments, and balance server workloads. When a guest is ready to sit, staff can transfer the check and notes to the table. Staff can also use a tablet to transfer checks and send text notifications when tables are ready. The experience is available in a browser or through Union’s mobile app; Union Pocket is an iPhone app compatible with iPhone 12 and later.
