What it is
Spamihilator is a free Windows program that filters incoming unsolicited email between the Internet and a mail client. Its Learning Filter uses Bayesian filtering, and the site says it recognizes more than 98% of spam. Other built-in options include Spam Word, Link, DCC, and Rule filters; users can also add custom words and regular expressions. It supports mail clients using POP3 or IMAP, including Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird, and automatically uses SSL/TLS when the server supports a secure connection. Messages identified as spam are held in a Recycle Bin for possible restoration, and users can train the filter with spam and non-spam messages. An optional setting deletes mail from blocked senders on the server without downloading it. Plugins can add detection methods or functions.
