What it is
SonicWall Cloud Secure Edge combines zero-trust access to private resources with internet security controls. Its hybrid access model supports replacing legacy VPN access, applying ZTNA to named resources, filtering malicious or compliance-restricted content, and protecting SaaS applications with device trust. Secure Private Access Basic provides VPN-style network access, while SPA Advanced reaches individually named resources. Secure Internet Access Basic offers compliance-focused filtering; SIA Advanced adds security-focused filtering, URL controls, and malware-download protection. Private resources can use SonicWall-hosted Global Edge, a self-hosted Private Edge, or a Gen 7 or later SonicWall firewall as Connector. The service includes SSO, SCIM, device posture, site-to-site networking, audit logs, and advanced administrator control. Supported systems include Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS/iPadOS, Android, Chromebook, and listed desktop and mobile releases. A standard trial covers 25 users for 30 days; pricing is on request.
