SmartyGrants
What it is
SmartyGrants is a cloud-based grants management system for government, philanthropic, corporate and charitable grantmaking organisations. It covers the grant lifecycle, from applications and assessments through contracts, payments, reporting and acquittals. Organisations can configure forms, workflows and reports without developer or IT support, and tailor workflows for simple or complex processes. Built-in analytics and export tools support reporting on outcomes and impact. The service is web-based and described as accessible anywhere, with local hosting and enterprise-grade security; its maker says it is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 accredited. Pricing is on request, and a free trial is available through a signup form, with no duration stated. Applicants can use SmartyFile, an optional free service, to view submissions across funders and pre-fill form information. Its organisation profiles support sharing forms, setting view, edit and submit permissions, and transferring submission ownership. The maker also lists regular updates, support and training.
