Reality Composer
What it is
Reality Composer is Apple software for prototyping and creating augmented reality experiences without prior 3D experience. Its visual editor lets users place and rotate virtual objects in an AR scene or on a canvas. Build a scene with objects from its built-in AR content library or import your own USDZ files, then export the result as USDZ. Guided photogrammetry capture uses LiDAR and is supported on iPhone 12 Pro or later and iPad Pro 5th generation or later. Projects can move between the iOS app and the Reality Composer app bundled with Xcode for Mac. Finished models and scenes can be shared for viewing on iPhone and iPad through AR Quick Look. The App Store listing requires iOS 17.0 or later on iPhone and iPadOS 17.0 or later on iPad. Apple lists the app for iOS, macOS, and Windows, and offers it free. Its separate Reality Composer Pro 3 Mac tool is for preparing 3D content for visionOS and iOS apps, with live preview on Apple Vision Pro.
