Open iT LicenseAnalyzer
Open iT LicenseAnalyzer · Oslo, Norway · founded 1999
What it is
Open iT LicenseAnalyzer measures software usage to help organizations analyze and optimize license use across more than 6,000 license-manager-enabled, standalone, and SaaS applications. It tracks who uses software, when and for how long, and concurrency, with drill-downs by application, feature, user, host, department, or session. Its three levels are Runtime Usage, True Active Usage, and Managed Usage. Runtime Usage includes real-time and historical reporting, project-level application metering, and web application metering. True Active Usage uses CPU, I/O, keyboard, and mouse activity to distinguish active use from inactivity. Managed Usage adds automated license harvesting, suspension and resumption controls, priorities, and scheduling. The product supports more than 100 license managers and offers on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployment. It can model named-user, concurrent-user, token, and pay-per-use licensing costs without infrastructure changes; usage breakdowns can support chargeback. Pricing is available on request, and a free trial link is offered. The Fast-Track Cloud Trial evaluates Level 1 using customer FlexNet license data and is limited to FlexNet license servers.
