What it is
Nextcloud Office is an open-source suite of collaborative editors for text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and PDFs, powered by Euro-Office. It supports Microsoft file formats such as DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, and XLSX, as well as ODF; Nextcloud says OOXML files receive high-fidelity rendering. Users can share and edit files together through web and mobile interfaces while keeping them on their Nextcloud server. Write supports collaborative drafting, comments, tracked changes, and exports. Spreadsheet offers formulas, sorting, filtering, and visualizations; Present supports animations and multimedia; and the PDF Editor provides comments, annotations, redactions, and fillable forms. Integrations include links to Nextcloud content, document conversion, and document chat with Nextcloud Assistant. The suite is available for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, web, and self-hosted deployments. Nextcloud describes TLS in transit, optional AES-256 encryption at rest, and optional per-folder end-to-end encryption. Enterprise subscriptions start at 100 users, with published prices in euros per user per year before VAT; Office is an optional extra-cost component. The Standard, Premium, and Ultimate subscriptions are €71.29 a year, €104.99 a year, and €204.75 a year, respectively.
