What it is
Monival is a monitoring and evaluation platform for field data collection, indicator tracking, evaluations, compliance and budgets, and real-time reporting. It is designed for NGOs, research institutions, and government monitoring programmes. Its Android and iOS Data Collect app can gather submissions offline, keep them on the device, and sync them when connectivity returns. Monival imports XLSForms from ODK and KoboToolbox, but repeat groups, conditional logic, constraints, calculations, and per-question translations do not transfer. Data can be shared through an OData-shaped feed for Power BI and Excel, webhooks, a REST API, or CSV/XLSX exports.
