What it is
Meteroid is a monetization platform for SaaS, infrastructure, and AI companies. It brings subscriptions, usage-based pricing, quote-to-cash, invoicing, and business intelligence together. Billing can combine flat subscriptions with usage overages, tiered or volume pricing, multidimensional pricing, capacity commitments, and packages. The platform includes subscription management, quotes and CPQ, invoices and credit notes, checkout, entitlements, webhooks, APIs, and a customer portal. Customers can view usage, manage subscriptions, update payment and billing details, and access invoices through a portal that can be embedded in a product. Meteroid says its Rust-based metering system uses ClickHouse and Kafka to ingest millions of events in real time and count each event once through idempotent requests. Invoicing supports an EU VAT engine or custom tax rules. The AGPL v3 version can be self-hosted with Docker Compose or Helm Charts. Pay as you go charges 0.5% of managed revenue with no minimums or monthly fee. Volume plans cost €219 a month, billed monthly.
