Impact Genome Registry
LinkedIn lists Chicago, Illinois as headquarters.
What it is
Impact Genome Registry standardizes social program outcomes so nonprofits can report impact and funders can evaluate programs. Its standards link programs to one or more of 132 outcomes across areas including education, public health, human needs, and arts and culture. The Registry describes its coverage as more than 2.2 million global nonprofits and social programs. Programs self-report data, and the verification process uses information they already collect rather than requiring new data collection. Trained verifiers assess annual claims and supporting evidence through standardized protocols; reporting typically covers the most recent program cycle. Verified programs can receive a Verified Impact Report and Verified Impact Units representing positive social outcomes. Nonprofit membership includes a consultation, a shareable annual report, benchmarking, research tools, webinars, and ongoing support. Funder tools include charity search, impact forecasting, and portfolio analysis. The free self-reporting option is not evaluated by in-house experts. Nonprofit membership costs $1,000, paid once, billed per program.
