What it is
Docny is a hosted documentation CMS for developer teams, combining authoring, publishing, hosting and analytics. Content can be written with a WYSIWYG block editor or code-first MDX, then published as documentation sites or interactive API references. Guardian AI scans GitHub repositories, URLs, code comments and READMEs to create structured documentation and identify drift. Docny supports OpenAPI 3.1 and Swagger 2.0, with interactive explorers and automatic re-rendering when linked specifications change. Managed hosting includes SSL, global CDN delivery, custom domains, versioning and one-click publishing. Teams can collaborate with live cursors, inline comments and suggestion resolution. An embedded AI assistant can answer reader questions in published documentation. Analytics report popular pages, searches, traffic trends and reader drop-off. Integrations include GitHub, Discord, Jira, Algolia, Slack, Notion, Intercom and Linear. The Hobby plan is free; Pro is £45 a month.
