Callboard
What it is
Callboard manages event proposals, reviews, speaker onboarding, agenda planning, and schedule publishing. Organizers can build CFP forms with conditional questions, shared character limits, participant rules, close dates, and routing to tracks. Reviewers see assigned proposals, and organizers can apply weighted scoring across two rounds. Accepted speakers use a portal to update session details, upload headshots and materials, complete tasks, and read event resources.
Agenda planning places sessions in rooms and time slots, with a conflict view that flags overlaps. Published schedules order speaker and co-speaker names and can feed calendar invites, CSV exports, and an API. Documented integrations include Accelevents CSV export, optional API push, an Airtable mirror, and signed webhooks with optional Svix delivery. API keys have six separately granted scopes: four read and two write. Callboard is open source under the MIT license and intended for self-hosting. Its main application is described as one Cloudflare Worker using D1 and R2. Public self-serve signup and per-organization tenancy are not built yet; organizations are provisioned by the deployment operator. In the demo, email is routed to a console driver rather than sent to speakers.
For and against
For
- Supports conditional CFP forms and track routing
- Weighted review scoring across two rounds
- Flags overlapping sessions in a conflict view
- Published schedules support calendar, CSV, and API
Against
- Public self-serve signup is not built
- Per-organization tenancy is not built
- Demo emails are printed to its console
The verdict
Callboard covers the event program workflow from proposal intake through schedule publishing, with self-hosting and integrations. Organizations need an operator to provision them, and the demo does not send email to speakers.
Who it suits
Callboard suits event organizers who need a self-hosted workflow for submissions, reviewer scoring, speakers, and schedule publication. It may fit teams able to have their deployment operator provision organizations.
