Step 1: Decide What The Track Must Do
Before opening a generator, write one sentence naming the use and feel. Step 3: State Whether You Want Vocals
Say “instrumental” if you do not want a singer. For a vocal song, describe the voice in general terms and specify the lyrical perspective or subject. Do not name a real singer as a shortcut for a voice. Suno generates songs with vocals and lyrics, and Udio generates vocal or instrumental songs from prompts and lyrics.

When you want a song with sections, include a compact structure such as “verse, chorus, verse, chorus” and explain the change you want at the chorus, such as fuller drums or a brighter melody. Step 5: Enter The Prompt In Suno Or Udio
Open Suno or Udio in your browser on your Galaxy, or use Suno’s Android app. Enter the concise sound description. In Udio, you can also provide lyrics when you want to guide the words. Product access and interface details can change, so check the vendor’s site if a control or option is not where expected.

Step 6: Listen For The Biggest Mismatch
After generation, identify one clear issue: perhaps the result is too energetic, the requested instrument is missing, or you wanted an instrumental. Revise the prompt by changing the relevant descriptor. Avoid replacing every detail at once; a focused edit makes it easier to tell which instruction better expresses your intent.

Step 7: Refine The Part That Needs Work
If the overall idea is close, use the tool’s editing options where they suit the task. Suno supports remixing, extensions, section replacement, and stem export. Udio supports lyric edits, voice-reference blending, style shaping, audio transformations, and Sessions for refinement. Udio currently has audio, video, and stem downloads disabled during its transition period, and stem export is currently disabled even though stem separation is available.

Use This Prompt Pattern As A Starting Point
Template: “A [purpose] [vocal or instrumental] track in [genre or broad style], with a [mood] feel, [key instruments], and [energy or production detail]. Structure: [sections]. [Specific change or feature for the chorus or ending].”
Example: “An instrumental track for a calm evening walk, in gentle acoustic folk, with warm fingerpicked guitar and soft brushed percussion. Keep the energy relaxed, then bring in a brighter melody for the chorus.” Remove any detail that is not important to the sound you want, and revise one element at a time after listening.
