Plan The Section Before You Extend

Extend A Song In Suno On Your Galaxy
- Open Suno on Android. Suno is listed as available on Android as well as the web and iOS. Sign in and open the song you want to continue.
- Check the source. Play through the ending and choose where the new section should begin. If the song is not already in Suno, check the current upload options and limits before proceeding; the listed Free Plan includes audio uploads up to 8 minutes.
- Choose the extension action. Use the song’s available extension workflow. The exact control name and location are not established here, so follow the current in-app instructions.
- Describe one section. Use one of the prompts above as a base. Name the section, what it should do, and what should remain consistent. For lyrics, provide the new idea or words you want included; do not ask for a new section and a wholesale style change in the same prompt.
- Generate and listen from the join. Focus on whether the continuation enters naturally, the vocal phrasing fits, and the energy moves toward the requested destination. If the join feels abrupt, try a prompt that specifies a softer entrance or a short transition. If the continuation drifts, restate the musical qualities you want preserved.
- Keep or revise the section. If the generated passage is close but one part needs work, Suno supports editing and section replacement. Check the current interface for the relevant controls, then listen again across the transition and the new ending.
Choose The Right Extension Prompt
For A New Verse
Give the verse a new lyrical purpose instead of repeating the previous verse. Specify the subject and the point of view, then ask for a return to the chorus if that is where the song should go. If you already have lyrics, use your own words and say where they belong in the continuation.
For A Bridge
Describe the bridge’s change in energy and its route back into the song. A useful direction is to make the passage more restrained at first, introduce a new lyrical idea, then build toward the chorus. Listen for whether that build feels earned rather than like a sudden jump.

For An Outro
Say whether the ending should keep vocals, become instrumental, or resolve the melody. Ask for a definite finish if you need the song to stop cleanly; a request for a gradual fade and a request for a strong final hit describe different outcomes.
Check The Result Before You Share It
- Play across the original-to-extension join, not only the newly generated passage.
- Check that the added lyrics do not repeat or contradict the song’s existing story.
- Listen for a change in vocal character, instrumentation, or energy that you did not request.
- Confirm that the new ending reaches the point you intended, especially if you plan to use the extended song as a complete track.
