Squeebles Spelling Connect
What it is
Squeebles Spelling Connect gives children spelling practice through more than 10,000 common English words and over 160 curriculum-based lists. Practice can use curriculum lists, custom lists, previously misspelled tricky words, or assigned homework. Parents and teachers can create lists from words or short phrases and record audio for them. Activities include word searches, a Word of the Day game, collectible Squeebles and the Sky Glider mini-game. SEN options include the OpenDyslexic font, optional coloured overlays and the ability to turn off timers. Parents, tutors and teachers can assign work remotely and view results, per-word statistics and children’s progress. Tutor and school accounts can organize pupils into classes or groups; school accounts can add multiple teachers. The app is available on iOS and Android, with a browser version for PC, Mac and Chromebook. The web version can play mobile-recorded audio but cannot record custom audio or start a subscription. Family monthly plans cost £2.99 per month and tutor monthly plans cost £19.99 per month; both include a 7-day trial.
