What it is
ShiftTrained is a paid AI training platform for restaurants, available on Android, iOS, and the web. Managers can upload a menu PDF or photo, connect a POS, or digitize an existing written test. AI creates quiz questions from menus, and managers can edit, rewrite, or delete them. Staff answer quizzes in a phone browser through a text or email link, without downloading an app. A manager dashboard shows real-time progress, with leaderboards, badges, and personalized AI study guides. Toast and Square integrations import menus and update questions when items change. Plans renew monthly and can be cancelled anytime: Basic costs $29 a month for up to 20 employees, Pro $49 for up to 40, and Max $99 for up to 99. Spanish support is coming soon, while multilingual support is beta. The service is not yet SOC 2 certified.
