Secrets of Grindea Savegame Editor
What it is
Secrets of Grindea Savegame Editor is a free Windows and Linux command-line tool for inspecting and editing character saves from Secrets of Grindea. It can change a character’s nickname, skill points, gold, equipment, inventory, and pets. The latest release assets provide SoG_Savegame_Editor.zip. Saves can be opened through the executable’s file dialog, by dragging a save onto the executable, or by passing a path on the command line. The command line can print JSON or a short text summary, and the README gives jq as an example for extracting values such as character level. Saves belong in %APPDATA%\Secrets of Grindea\Characters and use names from 0.cha through 8.cha. Release v0.9.0 supports game version 1.10f; older game versions require v0.8.2. Currently equipped items are read-only in v0.9.0. The repository uses the MIT license and also describes a simpler editor limited to changing save name and gender.
