Paymenter
What it is
Paymenter is an open-source billing platform for hosting companies, available as self-hosted software or a hosted service. It automates billing and service deployment, and provides a REST API for controlling the platform and automating workflows. Themes and marketplace extensions allow customization. Payment gateway extensions include Mollie, PayPal, and Stripe; server integrations include cPanel, Convoy, DirectAdmin, Enhance, Plesk, Pterodactyl, VirtFusion, and Virtualizor. Proxmox integration is available only as a paid extension. Customer support tickets are included, with replies possible through email piping. The WHMCS importer can transfer currencies, users, administrators, categories, products, tickets, orders, services, cancellations, invoices, and payments. The open-source version is free under the MIT License; hosted PaaS costs €5 a month. The hosted service describes free daily backups and Cloudflare DDoS protection. Self-hosting supports listed Ubuntu, CentOS, and Debian versions, but not Windows. Its installation guide warns that losing the APP_KEY makes encrypted data, including user passwords, irrecoverable.
For and against
For
