Panzura CloudFS
San Francisco, California, USA
What it is
Panzura CloudFS gives distributed organizations access to a shared file data set held in object storage. It presents the same data through SMB, NFS, and S3, with a global namespace, local caching, and edge synchronization in a hybrid deployment. Peer-to-peer locking propagates among sites and supports byte-range locks for simultaneous edits within a file. Immutable snapshots can run as often as every 60 seconds, providing point-in-time recovery for files and folders. File and folder geofencing rules apply at the node across the three protocols. Panzura says CloudFS encrypts data at rest with AES 256-bit algorithms and in transit with TLS 1.3, and that its cryptographic module received FIPS 140-3 validation. The product runs on bare metal and lists Nutanix, VMware, Proxmox, and Linux KVM as certified hypervisor partners. Additional capabilities include Grafana Cloud monitoring, a Microsoft 365 Copilot connection through Panzura Nexus, and Threat Control for behavioral detection and response. Pricing is available on request.
