OpenPRF
What it is
OpenPRF is a free, open-source web editor for decrypted PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 save files, particularly PRF profile files. It decrypts and re-encrypts the inner PRF layer with TripleDES and lets you edit set, seta, sets, and bind commands. You can load save folders by dragging them in or using folder and multi-file pickers. PRF files are editable, SFO files provide metadata, and supported image and text files can be previewed or edited. Other files offer Hex and Info views. The editor can preview images, display raw hex and metadata, and read details from param.sfo and icon0.png. You can download one file or export the loaded folder as a ZIP. Processing occurs in browser memory and client-side, with offline editing supported. Google Fonts is optional. No installation, build step, or account is required. The outer save container must be decrypted separately before loading and re-encrypted after export.
For and against
For

- Edits PRF command data
- Offline client-side processing
- Exports files or ZIP folders
- No installation or account required
Against
- Outer save encryption handled separately
- Most games limit editable text regions
- No automatic backup
- No warranty for every game or firmware
The verdict
