What it is
Openbadges.me is a web and API service for educators and organisations to create and issue digital badges and credentials that recognise achievement. Organisations can define badges to their specifications, issue them for multiple issuers, and automate issuing with rules based on numerical scores, text input or event data. Recipients can access badges through email or a free backpack account, and share verified credentials on LinkedIn, online and on social media. Features include enhanced reporting, multilingual badges that support non-English characters, and team permissions with a flexible number of administrators. Integrations include Google Sheets and Forms plugins, API connections to organisational software, and reporting exports such as Power BI. Organisations can apply their branding and URLs to badge display pages and remove Openbadges.me branding through white labelling. The free plan is for up to 10 badge recipients. Paid plans start at $55/mo, and enterprise packages are priced by enquiry. The support centre is open Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 UK time.
