Miru

India

What it is

Miru is open-source software for teams that bill by the hour, combining time tracking, invoicing, expenses, payments, and reporting. Users can record billable time with timers or manual entries, set rates by team member, and send work through weekly approvals. Invoices can be generated from approved or tracked work and include expenses, taxes, and discounts. Reports cover paid, pending, overdue, and projected revenue, alongside project and team analytics. The integrations page lists Stripe, Google Calendar, SMTP email, CSV and PDF export, CSV import, REST API, CLI, Zapier, Make, and n8n. Miru can also export clients, invoices, and recorded payments to QuickBooks Online through a one-way sync. Its local-first desktop timer supports macOS, Linux, and Windows and syncs with Miru; the iOS and Android apps are in beta. The MIT-licensed Rails app can be self-hosted, but customers then handle operations, backups, upgrades, and security maintenance. Hosted data is described as encrypted at rest and in transit. Self-hosting is free with every feature and unlimited members; Miru Cloud is $1 a month, with a 14-day Pro trial and no credit card required.
