Grace Anticheat
What it is
Grace Anticheat is a free, self-hosted anticheat for Java Minecraft servers. It targets closet and ghost cheating as well as blatant hacking, using rules-based detection and statistical analysis of player behavior. Servers can use a proxy setup, with Grace running as a Velocity plugin and a Paper companion plugin, or choose the standalone Paper plugin without Velocity. The proxy setup requires Velocity 3.3.0 or later, Paper 1.19 or later, and Java 21 or later. The standalone listing covers Paper on Minecraft Java Edition versions 1.19.x, 1.20.x, and 1.21.x. Grace can notify staff in-game and send formatted Discord embeds through a webhook. Configuration can teleport players back on hard alerts, kick them on action alerts, and optionally ban them automatically; automatic bans are off by default. Staff commands cover engine status, evidence summaries, alert controls, violation history, and configuration reloads. Grace is beta 0.1.0 and in active development. Its API, event pipeline, data model, and companion plugin are open source, while detection logic, model weights, and threshold tuning are closed source.
