FOSSBilling
What it is
FOSSBilling is free, open-source billing and client-management software for hosting and other online service businesses. It can issue invoices automatically, send payment reminders, support recurring and one-time pricing, handle multiple currencies, and apply promo codes. Hosting products can provision and manage accounts through control panels including cPanel/WHM, DirectAdmin, HestiaCP, CWP, and Plesk. Domain tools support registration, renewal, transfers, and WHOIS availability checks through registrar integrations, but domain prices must be set manually rather than retrieved live. A REST API includes admin, authenticated-client, and public guest endpoints. Documented protections include HTTPS enforcement, session fingerprinting, CSRF protection, rate limiting, IP blocking, CAPTCHA, and activity logs. The software is self-hosted and requires PHP 8.3, 8.4, or 8.5 and a MySQL-compatible database; supported web servers include Apache, LiteSpeed/OpenLiteSpeed, and NGINX. The project describes it as beta and under active development, with rough edges and limited support. Existing control-panel accounts cannot be imported, and clients do not have single sign-on to control panels. Multi-factor authentication is planned, not currently available. The code is licensed under AGPL 3.0.

Who it suits
FOSSBilling suits self-hosting and other online service businesses that need billing, client management, and supported hosting-account provisioning. It is a better fit for users prepared to work with beta software and its listed hosting requirements.
