What it is
Formstack Documents is a cloud, no-code tool for generating dynamic documents from templates and business data. Users can create templates with its AI-powered Document Builder or upload DOCX, PPTX, PDF, and CSV files. Data from CRMs, form builders, databases, and other business systems can populate those templates. Conditional logic shows or hides sections based on collected information, while routing can combine files or create multiple documents from one source. CRM data can produce proposals, contracts, invoices, reports, and similar documents. Bulk generation, data merging, and an open REST API are included. Documents can be sent to Formstack Sign or DocuSign for electronic signatures. Formstack lists SSL, encryption, firewall protection, secure downloads, and document encryption, and says merged data is not stored. The service lists HIPAA and GDPR compliance, runs on the web, and is also available through an API. Support is provided through documentation and tickets. A free trial is available, but there is no free plan and no fillable-form creation.
