Elysium
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
What it is
Elysium is a no-code creator studio and player for interactive augmented reality experiences tied to real places. Creators can build geo-located worlds for exploration, discovery, and storytelling, then place images, audio, video, and 3D assets at locations using a mobile device. Physical markers, including 2D images, can anchor AR scenes, and creators can preview scenes in real time before publishing. Players can interact with placed 3D objects; directional spatial audio changes in volume and direction with proximity. Creators can add points and leveling so player activity affects experiences over time. A capability to link digital assets with electronic devices and trigger hardware responses is still in development. The Personal plan is free and includes one private world, unlimited private scenes, three public scenes, 10 GB of asset storage, unlimited bandwidth, and publishing up to 30 assets on a global CDN. The maker lists iOS and web, but says the product is currently available only on iOS devices. Users need an account with a supported external sign-in service such as Google or Apple. Support is available through a public Discord community.
