Digits
What it is
Digits is a cloud accounting platform for business owners and accountants that brings bookkeeping, month-end close, bill pay, invoicing, and real-time financials together. Its AI bookkeeping categorizes transactions, flags items, and provides smart reviews around the clock. Teams can use cash or accrual accounting, automate journal entries and reconciliations, manage close tasks, and work with multi-entity support and an audit trail. Digits Connect links to more than 12,000 financial institutions; listed native integrations include Mercury, Ramp, Gusto, BILL, Stripe, Arc, Ignition, Karbon, and Reach Reporting. Bill Pay extracts invoice details with OCR and supports payments to vendors by ACH or check. A Developer API and MCP server connect the ledger to tools such as ChatGPT and Claude. Digits offers web and API access, plus native iPhone and iPad apps. Essentials costs $65 a month, and a 30-day trial is available. The service is limited to U.S.-based businesses using U.S. financial institutions and supports USD only. Shopify is not yet integrated, and automatic payroll syncing is available only through Gusto.
